interesting if it's the Coating cuz that stuff is the truth!! I was thinking about doing my glass with a graphene coating as well...
All windows except the front windshield (?) have a hydrophobic coating by default if memory serves.

From Perplexity:

Windshield wipers jitter (also called chatter or judder) due to a combination of issues related to the wiper blades themselves, the windshield surface, and mechanical alignment. Here are the most common causes:

- **Dirty or Contaminated Windshield:** Dirt, debris, oil, or wax residue on the glass increases friction or causes the blades to stick, making the wipers skip or chatter instead of gliding smoothly[1][2][4].

- **Dirty or Worn Wiper Blades:** Accumulated debris on the rubber or aged, hardened rubber can prevent smooth movement, leading to juddering[2][9].

- **Improper Installation or Wiper Angle:** If wiper blades aren’t installed correctly or if the wiper arm is twisted, the rubber may not contact the glass properly. This can stop the rubber from flexing over properly during its sweep, causing the blade to stutter[1][3][5].

- **Weak Arm Tension/Springs:** If the wiper arm springs are too weak or the arms are not tightened enough, insufficient pressure will result in poor blade contact and jitter[1][3][4].

- **Old or Damaged Windshield:** Pitting, chips, or rough spots on the glass introduce uneven surfaces that catch the wiper and cause stuttering[1][9].

- **Not Enough Moisture:** Running wipers on a relatively dry windshield increases friction and leads to juddering[6].

- **Wrong Wiper Blade Size:** Using improper blade sizes can alter sweep pattern and pressure distribution, which may cause chatter[1].

- **Weather Effects:** Extreme weather (heat, cold, or sun exposure) can harden or deform blade rubber or alter pressure, making the wipers more prone to jitter[1][4].

In summary, windshield wiper jitter nearly always involves excessive friction between the blade and the glass, usually due to dirt, improper pressure, or hardened rubber, but can also involve mechanical misalignment or damaged windshield surface. Regular cleaning, blade replacement, and checking the wiper arm alignment and pressure generally resolve the issue.

i think there are only two possible explanations:
1.) porsche discriminates certain (us) drivers in installing bad wipers and/or juddering glass. or
2.) the (extra) coating of the windshield is not a good idea.

I had a ceramic coating applied to the windshield as soon as I got the car and didn't get a chance to see the wipers in action before coating.

Do you guys think that's what's causing them to judder?

I had ceramic coating applied before I’d even picked up the car, and it’s never juddered like that. It’s supposed to provide extra glide after all, not extra friction. Perhaps replace your wiper places for those recommended earlier in this thread and see if that improves it?

Not quite related to the actual blades, but does anyone else’s car sound like a ticking clock when the wipers are on? The motors on mine are so loud when they change direction! It’s quite a distraction if I’m not listening to music when they are in use.

I have the same issue. Hoping to get them replaced.

Mine are not skippimg. They simply do not wipe the screen without leaving lines as though they were worn out. And this has been from the time they were new (6: months ago).I will be replacing them soon with the Bosch blades which I have on my other cars.

According to several different tests, reviews and several reddit posts those 2 seems to be the best choice:
1: Rain-X Silicon Endura (with water repellent capabilities)
and
2:Bosch ICON wiper blades
I'm getting my 4S in a couple of months and most likely I'll also replace them before winter comes.

Hope I helped.
I have tried both the Bosc and Rain-X wipers noted above.

The replacement part numbers for the Bosc Icon are 24OE and 20OE. The blade lengths are 24" and 20". OEM blade lengths are 26" and 22". They will leave a small unwiped section in the lower middle of the windscreen, and 1" less wipe top and bottom of the windscreen. Other than that they worked very well. Use adapter 4 for install.

The replacement part numbers for the Rain-X Silica Endura are 830126 and 830122. The blade lengths are 26" and 22" - same as OEM. Windscreen clearing area is the same as OEM. Very pleased with the coverage and clearing of the Rain -X's. Use adapter B - Narrow PTB Arm for install.

We don’t get a lot of rain, but we get a lot of snow so I guess I’ll see how that goes. The stock wipers worked perfectly in the storm we got last weekend, and the washer jets were good, six strong jets spread out evenly.
