My dealership confirmed that Porsche NA is well aware of the issue specifically in the Mid-west region of USA. They are also in touch with Comed but they know they need to fix it asap.

Clearly the software update is an issue, at the very fucking least they could just roll it back but naah, they are Porsche, they won't take a common sense approach to this

When did this happen? When I visited the dealership last, they said that Porsche has accepted the issue and are working on this as a high priority. FYI, thinking through the legal approach too.

I just called the hotline and they didn't seem to have any update on this specific issue. I'll call my dealership later to confirm. They speak to the HQ once a week so I doubt anything has changed since I last spoke to them (past Wednesday- 2/11).

Very surprising, my dealer was able to share the minutes of the meeting. I didn't take any pictures of that but they had a meeting with Porsche NA folks who were able to confirm that Porsche Engineers are on it.

My Porsche dealer said that Porsche NA has confirmed the issue, they're collecting serial number of the home charger and the VIN from impacted customers. They're also working on it to fix the issue asap. The same issue is not letting cars charge at an expected rate at the DC charging stations.

I finally got a reply from them via email and have shared all the info I can.

Direct charging doesn't work for me. My charger worked at the dealership. This (buying a new charger) is probably the only thing I can do at this stage. Out of options really.

I am now purchasing a brand new charger either from Tesla or ChargePoint. Hopefully it's just my charger.

It wasn't working previously either. They also just replaced the port's mechanical door. Yep, I feel like these are more of Porsche issues than EV. Teslas and Kias of the world have figured it out.

These options very helpful but couldn't resolve my issue. Tried everything. My car charges at the dealership, my charger works at the dealership too but when I connect the charger at home, the charger lights 50% instead of 100% (picture attached). The dashboard says that it's not able to...

Quick update: The dealership was able to find issues with my charging port. One of them wasn't able to signal the car that it is locked and that's why the other wasn't opening up. The other one (DC) still has a metallic issue and so they are replacing it.

Interesting. To be clear both of my ports work. They just don't work with my charger at home. Like I was able to charge my car at the dealership using their AC charger.

You and I most likely go to the same dealership. I just handed over my car to the Porsche downtown Chicago dealership. Hopefully they will be able to fix mine.

No I haven't but that's a really good call out. It's tough to find folks in a different neighbourhood though so that will take some time. >Does your neighbour's Kia charge at your house? That's also something to test. Yep, we did and it worked.
