I picked up my Turbo in Nov 24 too and have had nothing but issues with it until this month, when Porsche finally took notice of a years worth of complaints and a serious safety system failure in January that led to me crashing the car (thankfully not a serious crash, but ÂŁ18k of damage via my...
Those who have been on this forum for a while know I have done nothing but complain about the random emergency stops my car has performed for no apparent reason, all the warnings that kept popping up, the attempts to force me into oncoming traffic that the lane assist had done, and as very...
A slightly different take on your question - I have a November 2024 delivery Turbo that has Innodrive as an added option. However - it’s never actually worked! After regular dealer visits during the first year for several other faults every time I’ve mentioned Innodrive on those I was told it...
In an update to this - I still don't have the bloody car back! The body shop couldn't get the front sensors to work properly, so handed it over to my Porsche dealer for what turned out to only be a few days, to get it all working again. Monday 9th March I went to collect it from the body shop...
That's terrible! It sounds like some serious work is needed to get that back to its original condition. I'm lucky that the garage it has gone to is the one used by my dealership for their bodywork repairs so they are experienced with Porsches and working on EVs like the Taycan for a number of...
The garage who are doing the work are now only Porsche approved but do all of the work for my local Porsche dealership; they only work on premium vehicles so I have no concerns about the end result, more so about the time it's taking to get to that end. One of the contributing issues is that...
The car in the photo is definitely my Provence car, but it was in the evening so the lighting wasn’t great, so perhaps you’re just seeing it as a paler shade.
So at the start of December I clipped another car after being nearly run off the road by two speeding Police cars coming round a blind bend, resulting in pretty deep scuffs to the bumper which was also displaced, and a dent to the wing where the bumper had been pushed up. Most of the sensors...
I've had this exact issue on mine only it started at 4am in my garage at home , then again in the wee hours of the morning and again shortly after. The car wouldn't lock as it said the frunk was open, which is wasn't, then the frunk randomly opened up when nothing had been pressed on the key...
I had the same issue on mine, which was resolved with a software update by the dealer (as far as I was made aware) along with a number of other minor niggles (and some major ones that still exist!).
Alas that's what I paid to have them installed in mine, even though as you point out - it's pre-wired.
I much prefer the Blackview cameras someone mentioned above for both ease of use and image quality and had one in my previous e-tron, having seen how basic and faffy to access the Audi camera...
I really wish this was the case across manufacturers as dashcams only cover front and rear views, where as I was recently nearly taken out by a speeding police car that flew around a bend with no sirens on, which unfortunately I couldn't evidence from my Porsche brand dashcams.
For the Porsche...
Thankfully by local premium repair shop is the same place the Porsche dealership uses, and my insurance uses, so that bit was easy at least. I’ve had some issues with my Macan over the last year (one of which is what has led to it being in the repair shop now!) so I can’t say as I’m actually...
Mine has gone through my insurance without me knowing just how much it was - I'll ask when I collect it. No courtesy car to add onto the cost thankfully as I've been driving my husband's Taycan/our pick up truck (opposite ends of the car scale lol), but it's still going to be a stupidly...
Well I have some good news that the dealership actually managed to get the parts yesterday, so thankfully not as long as a delay as first thought!
How are you getting on with your repair?
Interesting to read that your insurance doesn't cove your paint protection. Mine has approved the claim...
As an aside to your OP - I’d be interested to hear how you get on with repairs. I caught my passenger side window and bumper at the start of December and it finally went into the repair shop for fairly minor cosmetic repairs but the majority of the bumper accommodated sensors had been knocked...
My relay is really loud, to the point of distraction sometimes as I find it incredibly annoying. More so from the drivers side dash than the glove box though. I have to turn my music up when it rains lol
