FYI:

VR28.13 is real, but here is the key:

VR28.13 is not yet publicly released in the U.S. or EU campaign bulletins, and no workshop campaign code (WSD0, WRS0, etc.) has been officially published for it yet.

This is why your dealer could see it internally but you couldn’t find anything online.

VR28.13 is an incremental update to the same software network family as VR28.11 (WSD0).

Porsche is rolling it out in phases, market-by-market, typically:

Software Network VersionCampaign CodeStatusNotes
VR28.11WSD0Public workshop campaignCurrently available in many markets.
VR28.13Not yet publicly assignedDealer-pilot / internal staged rollout

So:

If someone at the dealership told you “VR28.13 exists,” they’re correct — but not all cars are eligible yet, and not all dealers have the PIWIS package unlocked.

I fairly new to Porsche world, would VR change to 29 for MY26?

So, in conclusion this is as expected a limited roll out to test the software. Basically, if there is any issues they can limit it down.

Surprisingly I called a dealer, asked them what was available and they emailed me "WSG4, WSJ0, WSJ2 and WSN9 recalls". Would have thought the US would have been further behind since it was only the EU guys mentioning it here. Fingers crossed the install goes through and I have it back this time next week.

Are you sure the campaign code does not exist in US? My US dealer confirmed campaign code WSJ0 (VR28.13) shows up for my car and I have an appointment to get that applied next week.

UPDATE 2025-11-06

I’ve finally received my car after all the recall as stated above including the major update.
- Went really smooth, tested on two cars before hand
- Gave me the same paper that my G @Pepppie got us translated. BUT, Here is the caveat: He said that they only stated a minuscule amount of adjustments for this update, addressing up to 800 different customer issues combined that is in internal documents. This is a major update, more than we think and I do recommend people taking the plunge.

Ah, this extra information is great! Thank you for that!

I just received an update that the software update has been successful and that I can pick up the car tomorrow. They also replaced the rear light (where the black paint was peeling off under the plastic) and the fuel cap on the right. It was bulging because there was moisture underneath. I understand that the design has been modified and this has now been resolved.

They also carried out the recall in the trunk, and I decided not to have the passenger seat belt recall carried out. It didn't look good, and I had already fixed the clicking noise myself by sticking the original clip to the soft part of the Velcro.

Mine is booked in for next Thursday (I'm travelling so doing the update while I'm away). Confirmed it is VR28.13.

I'm keen to hear from the early upgraders and hear reports on what has changed, cosmetic or otherwise.

Hi Bob, Cheshire based Macan 4S here (delivered 11/24) can I ask which dealer your with, mine hasn’t been very pro-active in the past.
Too far away from you in Colchester. I am really pleased with them. I was offered any day as I drop off and collect so no curtesy car. I’ve gone with the second week of Dec to ensure there are no horror stories on here before

Great, I will update as soon I have tested mine. Just want to make sure they fixed the problem. From document available, they may even reduce speed bump sound with adjustments to suspension reaction.

I got the seat belt fix as well. Was unnecessary as I trained my daughter. Doesn’t look pretty upclose but I didn’t notice until looking for it. Should be OK but only time will tell. I forgotten, what did they do for trunk?

When are we getting Carplay ultra?
I would suggest CarPlay ultra is not on VW/Audi/Porsche's radar…current CarPlay is sufficient, they have other bigger problems, and the industry is not feeling warm/fuzzy about CarPlay at this point in time…

CarPlay ultra is unlikely to debut anytime in the next 5 years…
