Hey guys!
Has anyone had issues with AC charging where the car gets “stuck” at roughly half the charging capacity and the charging indicator flashes red and green? I’ve had this happen multiple times. Previously I would also get a yellow warning saying “AC charging impaired, visit a dealer.”...
Kind of. It would have been taken back months ago if it were bought as a private consumer. If you buy/lease it through a company like I did, it takes about 6-7 faults that aren’t fixed and a court case with a 50% chance of winning to be able for them to take the car back.
I’ve already spoken to...
The Macan in of it self was a successful launch. I don’t take that away from the car, it is just me and a “selected” few that has outliers with many issues. Sadly it hasn’t been handled by Porsche well at all.
UPDATE 2025-11-20
So… I thought I’d give you guys a pleasant update after this update (pun intended).
Everything went completely downhill. I had the car back for a week, and suddenly the DC flap stopped working again. I was basically stranded and ended up returning to the dealer on a Saturday...
I am flabbergasted by the amount of patience and endurance most customers have toward these things. I do understand that you are in a peculiar situation, but anyway.
Maybe, but they just add it to the base price anyway so it feels better for US customers. It is something that apparently is “a must standard” for your market in that price range. I’ve had tons of loaners and also seen different cars in stock and basically only the turbo or an occasional 4S has...
Uhm.. No they are certainly not, haha! Keyless entry and air suspension is not standard in Europe! Maybe that is specifically for the US, but US isn’t the whole world ;)
No, not yet.. They gave me a loaner until Monday (when the service crew starts working), so we will see!
Firstly, thank you for your kind comment and taking your time. Although, I do think that the driver seat flap with DC-charing have another mechanisms and is thicker, so it might be different. But, anyway I wouldn’t be able to accept that since it is the side with DC-charging. I can’t get stuck...
Thank you for your kind comment! It might be a similar problem, although it seems like something the dealer needs to tamper with unless I want my warranty to be void, haha!
Yes, it opened a few times because I mainly AC-charge on that side as well.. I agree with you, not going to force it but I am pretty stuck now it seems.
Hey everyone! After a short drive today we tried to open the DC charging flap, but it won’t move at all — it’s completely stuck. We locked the car, left it for about 30 minutes, and came back to the same issue. Thankfully we’re at home so we can still AC charge from the other side, but the DC...
