Looking to purchase a new Macan Electric in the next few weeks, probably a GTS. I've had two test drives so far, a 4S on steel adaptive suspension and 22" wheels and a GTS on 22" wheels. I know the GTS comes with air suspension as standard and the car i drove had rear wheel steering as well. The 4S left me impressed in some areas (handling, steering and brakes) but underwhelmed in others (ride quality, harsh vibrations through seats and the chassis transmitted road surfaces as vibrations through the cabin. It also had some annoying rattles from the front door trim tops, side windows, B pillar trim, dash top, and rear seat area). The GTS addressed a lot of the ride quality issues as well as eliminating 99% of the harsh vibrations being transmitted though the 4S. The front end also felt more connected. Unfortunately, it suffered from some of the same interior rattles and creaks and just didn't feel well screwed together at all. Both were new cars so a bit disappointing. I just wanted some clarity on whether these trim rattles are normal (an internet search says probably) but then people only tend to post negatives so maybe biased. I'm coming from a well specced BMW i4 M50 on 20's with 285/30 rear and 255/35 front tyres so very little side wall. It has steel adaptive front and adaptive air at the rear and deals with road imperfections better than the Macan, it's also virtually rattle free and feels luxurious in comparison. That said, as good as the BMW is it hasn't got the steering feel or brake feel of the Macan which was amazing. Looking for views and experiences before I place my order.

I have no rattles or vibrations, other than the passenger seat belt which they did a comparing to fix. I have a 4S on Air and initially was disappointed with the noise and harshness (I have owned EV’s before so know about the different environment). Changed the Bridgestone’s for Pirelli’s and appreciably better ride quality and reduced noise.

Have you looked at the new Cayenne EV SUV & EV Coupe. Reportedly a more refined interior. I’m quite happy with my 4S but I like a Coupe so ordered one 2 weeks ago and it is currently expected in mid July.

I have two 2024 Macan 4 on air suspension (US standard). Having had air suspension on my last four vehicles, I much prefer it.

No rattles. Before buying, you might ask the dealer’s service center to assess how easy they think it might be to address any existing rattles in the vehicle you’re considering.

My 2024 Macan 4was rattle free except for the seat belt (fixed) and rear lift noise (fix was a latch lubricant service bulletin) . Now looking forward to my new GTS which I am expecting to be rattle free. Curious what you found on the GTS?

The GTS I drove had a creaking noise from the B pillar / front window area. Either due to frameless doors or the b pillar trim. The door card tops rattled now and again but were much better than the 4s i drove. The most annoying was the dash top rattle.

Rattles shouldn't really exist. Try another sample if you can to assure yourself of that. Go back to the preferred dealer and highlight your concerns if not done so already.

I guess I will see if mine comes that way.

our new GTS EV (picked up early March) is rattle and squeak free.
stunning car to drive (my previous cars are BMW iX (EV) and Tesla as well as various hybrids).
I loved the BMW iX but the Macan GTS EV is a better drive and just as refined.

my Cayenne Turbo EV turns up in about a month so am interested to see how that compares.

I have a 4 on air, Michelin's & am quite happy with ride. Only rattle is the passenger seat belt but haven't bothered to get a fix yet.
Very happy with the car, had an I Pace for six years before this.

Take a read of this thread, I personally found the GTS suspension a good bit stiffer than non-GTS, and on UK roads I preferred the non-GTS (I also own an M5 for ref, which has variable suspension).

I also had an I-pace on steel suspension, and now in a 4 with air, the 4 is better ride, plus you can play with your ride height and driving modes all the way. I had a 24 built 4 for 3 months, my sept 25 build is better built, better SW, hasnt been back to dealer in 8K miles.

In addition, ours is on 22ā€ spyder wheels.
I still prefer it in the sport plus suspension setting (nice and firm) though my wife drives it in regular suspension. Firm but perfectly comfortable.

I am also getting the same wheels so I am hoping the ride is great. We also have great roads in most areas I drive 😊
