You should go and make a test drive with the wheels/suspension you will likely order/get - that's what I did. We found that air suspension w/22" spider wheels smooths out the bumps/pot holes on UK roads nicely. At that point, I didn't try a car without air, as the dealer didn't have one readily...
Ordered recently (dealer had a build slot), initial estimated delivery was May, now pushed to June in car tracker. My dealer said it was "due to supply chain issues with air suspension components - all Macan models with air suspension are affected", he added it might pull back in.
Funnily enough I went to the local centre with the same intention, I did back to back, same route, in a GTS an 4S both on 22ā Spider wheels. I found the GTS much firmer, whereas the 4S more compliant on crap UK roads. Hence, my order is for a 4S! It just shows everyone has different...
I have the same dilemma and concern, not had a chace to test drive a GTS yet, but sounds like it should be fine!
I went to your config and got a concerning message;
Seems like some more tweaks to options/equipment?
Cosmetic yes, but I donāt like it. Iāve experienced the buttonless BMW implementation for several years, itās just not as convenient. Several other manufacturers have already reversed this trend and restored physical buttons, and FWIW, Jonathan Ive designed the new Ferrari Luce interior and he...
As Iāve mentioned before, the interior, specifically panoramic dash, looks like something I donāt want. And theyāve doubled down on heating controls via the screen only, which is a fail.
i did actually price one again yesterday, essentially £70k with most required options, and that is £30k less...
Thanks for the info, I better get a move on and commit or drop the idea! Dealer did already hint at a deal, so we'll see how much that plays out.
My regular drive is an M5, current average is ~27p/mile cost of fuel alone. I have had several M cars over the past 10 years, and was doing >100 mile...
Dealer said if I do a factory order by mid-March, delivery will be May, so yes, 2-3 months currently.
How about Macan EV discounts in 2026?
Indeed, and that does turn people off. Total crap really the government of the day flip-flopping the rules.
Excellent, I must have misunderstood him!
Thus far I have had a good experience, he has been excellent, he quickly organised a 24h loan, and he has offered a test drive on trade plates of a GTS, so I really can't complain.
Wow, that's a long wait - assume you are using a London dealer given...
On the loaner, I really liked the HUD (and love it on my M5), it's going on my spec for sure, along with all the other tech packages. Yes it hurts, but ultimately I don't want to regret this - could be stuck with it for a while to come (I don't plan to lease/PCP with the intention of handing it...
Local dealer told me yesterday that nearly all of this years Macan EV allocation for them is sold, so if I didn't commit to the one remaining soon, he'd would need to negotiate with other dealers to try to secure one. Now, he has been really straight with me so far, but honestly, I'm smelling...
