  1. 4S Range

Unless you have to use parking bays that haven't changed size in donkeys years, I'm even a bit concerned that the Macan is too wide and too long for many .
  2. Porsche charging service UK

The number of charging stations is impressive these days, I am new to the EV world but I don't fear longer travels at all. The included 3Y term is a good chance to try it out, then do the maths to see whether the value is there.
  3. OTA update - High Voltage Central Box Control Unit

I just let the car use it's own connection (I have not set it up to use my home WiFi yet) - it has to be locked before the update will start:
  4. OTA update - High Voltage Central Box Control Unit

I couldn't find the thread you mentioned; My MY25 4S showed an OTA update today, it seems to be the same HV update: "This update improves your car’s charging process to ensure consistent and reliable charging at wallboxes and public charging stations." (details):
  5. Any Reports of MY26 Macans Exhibiting Similar Software Issues as MY24 and MY25 did?

MY26 4S: I've had the PCM go 'missing in action' recently, completely blank screen, but can here bleeps if screen touched. This also locks out the navigation: I held the volume button down for ~10s, and the PCM rebooted, after which point everything worked again:
  6. Porsche charging service UK

I recently took delivery of a Macan 4S, and it comes with the Porsche charging services included for 3Y. This service provides: Unified authorisation via the car/Porsche app Aitomatic payment Discounted rates. which seem unified across Porsche partners It seems brilliant, and I wasn't...
  7. E-Shift on 2027 Macan?

Indeed. I knew as soon as we drove the GTS away from the dealer (Porsch Hatfield) that it was firmer in normal mode. I tried some other modes, i.e. offroad, to see if that softened anything, but I didn't notice any more softness. To confirm my thoughts, we went straight out in a 4S, and the...
  8. E-Shift on 2027 Macan?

True, pricing is similar, body kit and a bit more performance is very nice, but the suspension is also tuned differently. I really wanted to go that route, but when we tried them back-to-back, the GTS was too firm for daily driving for us, so we ordered a new 4S instead.
  9. Burmester system test review by Whathifi

    That's helpful to know, thanks.
  10. Burmester system test review by Whathifi

Thanks. I will keep tweaking them and report what I find. I also read elsewhere that it takes a few hours of playing music to 'stabilise', but I don't know why that would be. Did you notice any change after several hours of playing music?
  11. 4S Range

Thanks, I will monitor my progress. I do use the regen, I prefer the way it drives with that on, but maybe it damages range more than I thought. I have done a good mix of driving these past two weeks, covering ~900 miles, av is 2.9mi/kWh, but I do rather drive it like my non-EV cars - a bit of a...
  12. Burmester system test review by Whathifi

My dealer said "it wasn't worth the money" to upgrade over the Bose, which is subjective, but I took that advice. I wish now that I kept the upgrade, I don't think the Bose system in the Macan is that great for a premium car. I also find the sound level too low, so I end up cranking the volume...
  13. 4S Range

Are you saying the SW update has crapped your range, or just reset somestatistics/predictions? 330/360 miles in the UK seems an ambitious target for my (new) car, but I hope I can get it there :D !
  14. 4S Range

I have had a new 4S for 2 weeks, consumption over 821 miles has averaged 2.9 mi/kWh, but these past few days I’ve seen 3.1-3.4. Tyres also impact range, I’m on 22” spider wheels. I charged to 80% last night, range is reporting 230 miles, which would mean ~288 for 100% - pretty much the same as...
  15. Porsche Navigation versus CarPlay Navigation: Is there a clear winner?

I have MY26 4S, Google maps via CarPlay shows up in HUD and instrument cluster. Also, if you have a large map view in the instrument cluster, the centre screen changes to route overview (rather than zoomed), which is a neat implementation. My experience of using Porsce and Google so far: One...
  16. OTA update - High Voltage Central Box Control Unit

I noticed this post on Reddit, MY26 4S, I've not seen this OTA update for my (UK MY26) so far.
  17. Macan EV Insurance

Sounds such a mixed bag. I went with Admiral Gold ~ÂŁ950 for Macan 4S - they were one of the most competitive. Aviva already rejected that car, dealer suggested Porsche: ÂŁ2100 and mandatory tracker - totally uncompetitive.
  18. PCM screen grab rather than photo (iPhone/CarPlay)

    Ah, I see, thank you!
  19. Navigation updates

From this thread, I discovered my car is set to *not* automatically change speed based on what it discovers, i.e. "slamming on the brakes", which I'd a thought was a useful nugget? For that, it is necessary to find out where the setting is, but apologies for hijacking the thread. I too would...
  20. PCM screen grab rather than photo (iPhone/CarPlay)

I noticed across the forum, some posts have perfect PCM screen shots. I have a MY26 and an iPhone with iOS 26.5, however a screen capture creates 3 files: phone, Apple CarPlay view in PCM, and a completely black (like the cluster) photo, but not the PCM itself. I have enabled General>Screen...
