  1. Cold mountain climate owners: how necessary is your heated windshield or rear wiper if you have them?

It would be great if they put a button on the climate screen, even if it had a 10 minute timer or something, to stop people leaving it on all the time - in fact I think the jaguar one turned itself off after a few minutes.
  2. Cold mountain climate owners: how necessary is your heated windshield or rear wiper if you have them?

I drive a country road to work, last car was an I-pace, which had a heated windscreen, so I added this to my macan, and a rear wiper, as the I-pace didnt have one. Basically it means you can clear your rear view immediately, not waiting for airflow to do it. The only annoying thing, is that you...
  3. Front hood lock jammed

lean gently on the bonnet while pressing the button.
  4. Best tyres for wear (comp)

I would get about 15K miles in my I-pace. Cost of doing business.
  5. Hood logo GONE

    Buy a Skoda badge....
  6. Range very low for state of charge

I've recently had something similar, went on holiday for a week, UK temp was 0c to 5c. When I came back, range has been 200 miles or less. its now 2 weeks, and range is now increasing, currently 250 ish.
  7. Electric Range

it does dive, but its assuming you will run this level of heat until you hit zero battery. In fact normally you will turn off heated steering wheel, turn down heated seats, and heater, as the cabin warms up, and your range will slowly improve.
  8. Electric Range

if plugged in, it should extend your range, lets say you will use 2kwh to heat the cabin from cold - this now comes from the charger, so you effectively gain 2kwh of range - 4-5 miles.
  9. Electric Range

Summer 310 winter 250 mostly, -5C 230 if your using the heated seats and heater etc. This is roughly 50% better than my old I-Pace, which at the time, was pretty good. So I'm very happy. This is without preheating etc. If I had to I'm sure I could get another 25 miles. Whatever you do don't...
  10. Possible to lower suspension for entry/exit?

I had a play with this, you can set a location to raise the height, but as far as I could see, not to lower. So the only way I can see is to select sport mode as you pull up.
  11. Standard 8 Way Seats

I had a 3 month loaner, with 8-way, standard trim. I bought 14 way with leather. One thing the 8-way taught us, in UK, is that they trap heat, even with air con on, they were very warm, even 20 minutes later. So we added cooled seats. But in terms of comfort they are the same seat in terms of...
  12. Macan Turbo versus BMW iX M70

I had an iX loaner, when my I-pace was in the dealer. Now in a Macan 4. I found the iX awful, it ate energy, heating controls were made by aliens, the doors sound like they are full of lego. The only plusses were the heated armrests, and the ability to compete with the local bus company. if you...
  13. Electric Sport Sound - equip it or not?

Had it in a 3 month loaner - it makes a lovely sound, like an ICE. But even when turned on, you only get the noise when you accelerate. As the macan accelerates very quicky, your getting 2-3 seconds of nice noise. I didnt spec it on my permanent car, and dont miss it. as other have said, spend...
  14. Mecan S 20" vs Mecan Offroad design 21" ride quality/comfort

I had a long term loaner, with 22', and I bought a macan 4 with the 21; off road wheels. In the UK, I found the 21' tramline less. And of course you have a bit more protection from damage. I'm very happy with the 4, I came out of 2 x I-Pace.
  15. Bridgestone Potenza sport rear puncture - cannot get any replacement tyres

I'd ask your Porsche dealer- and if they can get one, ask them to ask the fleet company for authorisation.
  16. Range in Macan Turbo

Wheel size is well known to make a difference, 20 to 22 inch knocks 20 miles off the range. Everything adds up, roof rails, rear wiper, all add drag, all with the same battery, means less range in any given situation. That said the OP managed an average of 64mph, thats quite impressive in the...
  17. Climate controls query

button N is AC max, button P is max demist, and if you have it heated front screen.
  18. 4S compared to Polestar 3 and 4?

Really depends on what you want, long distance cruiser, soft ride? Or tight sporty ride that will go a long way if needed? I cant comment on the polestar, I came from a Jaguar I-Pace, and the macan 4 is a good replacement. Had an iX, lousy to drive, but if you have 3 teenage kids and 2 dogs its...
  19. Uneven rear tyre wear

I'll let you know in 5000 miles...
  20. Uneven rear tyre wear

I'd just get the alignment checked by a good tyre place, and crack on. I was getting about 12000 miles per set in my I-pace, I'm not expecting anything better, its a 2 ton sports SUV, and I'm not Miss Daisy.
