Wireless charger

I’ve never had an issue charging my iPhone 15 Pro Max in the Macan’s wireless compartment with the Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit case.

I have the same case but having some trouble charging. I tried moving the phone around but no luck so far. My wife’s phone works with her MagSafe case…not sure what brand

My Apple brand Magsafe case on an iPhone 14 works fine but it needs to be placed a bit left off center. There seems to be a sweet spot there.

I don't own a Macan yet but during my test drive of a Macan Turbo, I placed my iPhone 16P with an Apple-brand magsafe silicone case in the Macan's wireless charging compartment and it charged with no problem. My wife has a thicker non-Apple case she bought from Amazon and it would not charge without removing the case.

I’m unable to wireless charge my iPhone 14 Pro, I removed the case and still saying unable to charge, my phone charges fine and even other cars. Any suggestions? I don’t understand why is so hard from Porsche to design a simple wireless charger, my Taycan charger wasn’t that good neither but at least charged the phone.

Maybe you need to activate wireless charging in the settings.

I have an iPhone 16 pro in an apple branded silicone case with MagSafe. I have to position mine just right to get wireless charging to activate.

Wondering if anyone had further luck being able to describe how you can get this to work. I have tried with and without case. Intermittent, sometimes it will start charging and about 30secs later it comes up with same error.

Slide it a bit left and right till you find the sweet spot. Mine is left of center, camera on the left side..

I have the same problem in my 3 day old Macan. Sometimes by iPhone 14 charges, but has started to frequently display the same error message. I have tried with and without the Apple magsafe case, but it makes no difference. I'll try and move it around to see if that makes any difference.

I have an iPhone 17 Pro with an Apple TechWoven case with MagSafe and have no problem with wireless charging. I don’t even have to reposition the phone. I just drop it in the compartment and it works. It also worked with an Otterbox Symmetry with MagSafe.

Mine was not wireless charging for my 15 Pro, and my wife’s 16 Pro, about 80% of the time. Since the software update I can basically throw my phone in the cubby and it wireless charges 90% of the time.

I have a phone case that is mag safe and works well with my home and other wireless chargers. However it doesn’t work on my Macan wireless charger. Anyone else encountered this issue? If so, what case do you recommend I buy? Appreciate your help.

I’ve had most success by putting my phone in with the top towards the left. This seems to line up with the charging system better. My 15 Pro is shorter than more recent Pros and the Pro Max versions

I’m sad that the only way to see it’s charging is on the Car Play screen, where the battery status is displayed at the top of the sidebar

I have the same phone and use the same placement. Works consistently, although I had to switch from a MagSafe case (required by the phone charger in my previous car) to a plain silicone case. The MagSafe magnets sometimes interfered with charging.

How does that handle aggressive driving, will the magnets hold a big phone with its case through ~1G maneuvers or on bumpy sections of the road? I would think you'd want the phone physically restrained.

I sometimes have passengers that need a cable connection to charge their phone, and I don't have a spare USB port for this. Wonder if a Y cable would supply enough power to both.

I suppose you get enough cooling there but probably not as good as in the cubby.

BTW, once I learned the sweet spot, I have not had a problem charging my iPhone,
