I’ve just dropped an email to my service manager here in NZ. I’ll see if any news of the update has made it to him and if there are any details about What it includes.
I've just a had a reply from my service manager. It has not been received by them yet, but they are aware of it and expect it to be available in NZ tomorrow. They want a few days to install on workshop loan vehicles first before applying to customer cars. They've tentatively booked me in for next to get it applied to my Turbo. I've asked if there is any detail on the content of the update.

I think the excitement is that there are rumors this is the same software the MY26 have. Or otherwise "massive sweeping update".

I say rumors because the only sources are word of mouth from dealers to forum members, and random blog posts like this claiming the MY2025 will get the features announced on the 2026 with no sources linked..

I newer install a new system on my computer if current is running well. Rumours are the update needs to be tested on loaner first. That doesn’t sound to promising. Dealers should have loads of experience by now unless there are fundamental changes. All rumours and speculation, my dealer did not receive any information as of yesterday.

Well, I’ve had my car in the shop for 6 months just waiting for the update (excluding the months of handing it in for repairs and testing) because it will apparently solve fundamental issues in the software (eg. Red circle of death, safety issues etc). I don’t see a reason Porsche paying for a loaner all these months including the dealership struggling with having a car in their building + all the labour costs of maintaining and testing the vehicle just for a hoax.

Now, with that being said I don’t believe the software will solve my issues. I still think it is hardware that keeps making my software throw up different problems. I just think Porsche don’t know where the issues are coming from, and as we’ve seen before: Many, maybe even most cars have been functioning properly. I wouldn't even care at all if the car wasn’t a safety liability for me, my family or any pedestrians.

I think you have no other option as to trial new software. And yes, software will likely not be a silver bullet magically fixing all types of errors. I am afraid, some cars are a lost cause and need to be replaced. I remember the days when a technician repaired your TV, nowadays problems are significantly less but if problems do occur you will receive a replacement. Not sure if this is the best analogy though.

When I asked my UK dealer about the upgrade I was told - “there Isn’t one for your car”. Luckily, I haven’t had any issues - it will be interesting to see if only certain cars / countries / manufactured dates are upgraded, or it’s a general upgrade to a new version with added functionality as well as correcting previous software ‘bugs’.

When owners on here in the UK say they have successfully had the upgrade I’ll speak to my dealer.

I'll speak to West London today to see if car is ready to be returned . Manger didn't hear anything about software update yesterday morning. If dealer doesn't insist, I will probably wait to update. My car had problems from the start so don't want to complicate things.

Hopefully it will provide precise logs attached to the red circles, and provide dealers with a path to identify and solve problems…

So I've just left my car for previously scheduled maintenance and dealer confirmed this new update is available.

It's WSJ0 campaign and it upgrades software to VR28.13. Takes a couple of hours and affects a lot of onboard systems. My car should be ready be the end of this week, will let you know how it goes.

PS is there a way to check the car's software version? I have a fresh loaner with 1000kms on it and it appears to be flawless, does not have any of the problems my car has.

Little update; the dealer in The Netherlands has the update available. The version is v28.13! They tried to install it on my car yesterday, but the process stopped. They had to leave the car untouched overnight, and today PAG is watching in the background to see where it gets stuck.

I got a changelog with all the updates the version contains. It's in Dutch, so I asked ChatGPT to translate ;-)

FunctionDescription
Powertrain and chassis• Optimization of vehicle start-up behavior
• Improvement of chassis adjustment speed
• Optimization of E-Sound display to prevent unintended warning messages
Charging• Improvement of preconditioning availability
• Increased robustness during the charging process
Infotainment system• Various improvements in stability, robustness, and comfort. Optimization of touch input on the passenger display
• Optimization of the passenger display view for better display when using third-party apps
• Increased robustness of Bluetooth connectivity
• Improved microphone function for voice messages via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Improved phonebook synchronization between vehicle and mobile device
My Porsche app• New function for opening and closing the charging flap directly from the app
• Improved data transfer for more accurate display of the remaining range in the My Porsche app
Driver assistance systems• Various improvements in stability, robustness, and comfort. Increased system stability to prevent unintended white and yellow warning messages, for example, for fatigue warning, the warning message “Assistance systems temporarily unavailable” or “Clean sensor”
• Optimization of traffic sign recognition
• Extension of the Porsche voice assistant with Google Search to ask for information more comfortably and quickly while driving
Navigation system• Improvement of 5G connectivity
• Activation of online navigation (China only)
Comfort system• Optimization of vehicle key detection
• Improved stability of the parking assistant
• Activation of the parking assistant function (Hong Kong only)
Air conditioning• Optimization of the dehumidification function to prevent fogging on windows more effectively
High-voltage system• Various improvements in stability and robustness

This actually looks like my scheduled work list. So please let me know how it goes.:)

Slightly OT - Besides the software update, does anyone know what the luggage cover (WSG4) item is about? Is it a new part?

As for vehicle software versioning (for control modules), I don’t know if there’s a way for us to check - suspect it would only be accessible via diagnostic tools.

So this scope confirms it's indeed the WSJ0 my dealer in Poland claimed is the "big update".
The list is extensive, hope it helps with a lot of issues reported here.
I'm optimistic, let's see how it goes.

This is the only campaign that had "scope: 2,1" and "with customer letter: yes" next to it, anyone knows what's that about?
