    MY26 software update (week 36) for MY24-25

This! It's so on point! I see you better understand the frustration of some people here, which IN MOST CASES comes down to absurd client relations with local service departments. By now I'm convinced they create more problems than actual issues with cars. Unqualified repair shops add to...

Weird Smoke and Burning Smell from Air Vents in My Macan 4 – Anyone Else?

Thanks, seems like this issue with one exception - mine did not appear from passenger compartment but I guess it's hard to tell. Too bad there is no such bulletin for the suspension cracking sounds when driving over speed bumps, I could use one ;)

Weird Smoke and Burning Smell from Air Vents in My Macan 4 – Anyone Else?

Is there a bulletin number or something else I can show to my very professional and super premium dealer that sells more bullshit that actual cars?

Weird Smoke and Burning Smell from Air Vents in My Macan 4 – Anyone Else?

They told me it can happen once or twice, usually during the first winter after pickup and that it's OK, just ignore it ;)

Does your Macan EV keep SoC stable when left idle for a week or longer?

Try charging to 95% (over 90%) and leave it overnight for 7-8 hours, discharge and repeat. After the 28.13 update it may take four cycles like that to rebalance. This is just something my dealer told me and helped me after two cycles. I noticed battery dropping very fast from 100/90% and way...

Does your Macan EV keep SoC stable when left idle for a week or longer?

It's hard to debate how the % of faulty Macans is in relation to other Porsche cars and brands - we do not have the data. It's reasonable to expect that first batch of cars (MY2024, early 2025) could have had more issues and this has been my observation with loaners I've driven. This is to be...

Does your Macan EV keep SoC stable when left idle for a week or longer?

This is great and I can concur - mine is sitting for a second week OUTSIDE during winter -10C temps and also keeps 50% SoC just how I left it. Do you observe increased consumption/drop in the first miles after this?

Does your Macan EV keep SoC stable when left idle for a week or longer?

Given this consumption why Porsche and not Skoda or Volvo? ;) I never understand how people driving these cars can get 17kW on avg.

Impact of cruising speed on range

From my experience this is not the right way to look at this problem. Key to driving fast is charging fast. It's much more important to have good infrastructure of fast chargers and car that can handle fast charging well. Macan and it's Route Planner handles this job very well so you just...

Front (air) suspension cracking sound over speed bumps

Sorry I don't, will ask for more details next week.

2025 Macan EV: electrical errors and undriveable vehicle

If it was THAT easy to brick you car by just having the power cut during charging I think we would have discovered a perfect way out for all those dissatisfied with their cars - just brick them this way, return to Porsche and have them replaced as lemons :p /s

    Avoid the Macan EV!!!

If rattles are your only problem with this car you are one of the lucky without serious issues ;)

Charging planner after 28.13 update ignores target SoC

After the latest 28.13 update my navigation with active charging planner stopped informing me during DC charging that the SoC reached the target level and I can continue driving. Instead the target when reached suddenly changes (goes up). At first I though perhaps the target changed based on the...

Quick Question: if charging station added manually to a route in PCP does the battery get preconditioned?

No i won't. For preconditioning to work you have to set a different destination and have the charger added along the way. You can tell in the nav if the stop is just a stop/destination or charging stop - the icon is different and for charging stops is shows you real time data of the charger...

Macan 4 multiple simultaneous system failures

I cannot stress enough how important is what @FirstEV said here. If you don't press the dealer, they will not takie it seriously, they will give you bullshit and will do anything for the client to go away. In my case they try to guilt-trip me saying they don't get paid for the diagnostics and...

Macan 4 multiple simultaneous system failures

This has been my experience as well. People not having to deal with the service dept don’t know how frustraing this is. I really dont mind the car having issues and problems, most brands do and you take some risk buying a new platform. But the total lack of competence from dealers is...

Worst 1 year review of the Macan 4 - EVER. 8 months at the dealership for issues.

Hi, can you elaborate on that? How would it look? Asking for a friend ;) because I’m on the same boat. We can go private if you’d like but I think more people could use this experience.

    Macan vs Taycan, my observations

This is not unique to Turbo, you can spec it in other models. I was told the hardware for the suspension is exactly the same and the setup is the same. Wheels and tires make a lot of difference though. There is one difference - in 4 the rear electric motor is mounted to a subframe, in 4S and...
