I find that my heated steering wheel temperature feel is not nearly warm enough. I operate the vehicle with the cabin temperature around 22 C, so I am not sure if this is preventing the steering wheel from warming up to a higher temperature. My 2025 Volvo XC40 Recharge has three temperature settings and it is easily three times warmer than my 2025 Macan Turbo; and Porsche gave us only one setting.

Anyone else living in a "cold climate" country experience this on their Macan?

I've found it slow to warm up, but it does eventually get warm enough (even when I have the vents blowing cold air from outside). Current temps outside are in the high 20F range.

I think it is related to the outside temperature, It gets way warmer when it is colder outside … below 5C it gets really warm for me, but it stays meh when outside temp is above 10C, maybe I’m wrong, but that is my perception.

I used it two weeks ago while on a 3400 mile road trip that included Colorado. In the Rocky Mountains the temperatures early in the morning and at night were in the low to mid 30s. The heated steering wheel got so warm that I turned it off after a few minutes.

I wish there were be multiple levels like there are for the heated seats, maybe then I would have left the heated steering wheel on.

Good to know guys, thanks. I spoke with my dealer and will compare mine to other EV's next time I am there. I think the power output may in fact be correlated with the OAT.

Yeah I have to turn mine off after a while too.

It might be a fun experiment to get one of those infrared temperature guns and see what it gets up to. A meat thermometer pressed against it may work as well.

Mine gets hot very quickly - I just use it to take the chill off, otherwise it gets too hot for me. Just wondering, do people still wear gloves when driving in some countries - and is this causing the reports of slow heating?

I would agree with that comment ! I hate having the HSW on when it’s over 10c is that 50F for Trumpland šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«. The colder the outside temperature gets the warmer the wheel gets ( I think!)

Compared to our Bronco Sport, the wheel is slower to heat up and doesn’t get anywhere near as toasty, here in somewhat mild Whistler. 0C and snowing today, has been down to -5 and the Porsche has been consistently less effective.
