I become addicted to Porsche finder. It worked so well after my checking off the CPO filter. Found more than a few Macan EV’s significantly below MSRP. Most were on the East Coast but even paying for enclosed transport to where I live +3,200 miles away, saved +$20K.

Good luck.

How many of you plan to switch to the Cayenne electric when/if it launches around the end of the year?
No. The Cayenne S loaner I'm driving rn, while my 4S is waiting at the dealership on a new wheel that they must be literally rowing over to the US (it's taking VERY a long time!), barely fits in my garage and feels markedly less planted than my 4S. Electrification should lower the center of gravity, but it will also add substantial weight. Cargo space is adequate in my 4S, and the back seats have proven more than adequate for my needs (I don't usually drive around with anyone taller than 6'2" or so).

I was firmly in the camp to keep my Macan 4 for my spouse and buy the Cayenne EV when available. I have one, intermittent need for a large cargo area that was met fully with my former Cayenne GTS and which the Macan can’t satisfy. A few weeks ago, however, I bought a second Macan 4 to avoid potential tariff price increases. I also wasn’t blown away with the spy photos of the new Cayenne design and didn’t want to wait on it, only to find it lacking. I will figure out what to do about my cargo space needs…the Macan space works for me 99% of the time.

Can't put it on the roof or in a hitch cargo? Could always just rent something for one off transports.

Maybe, if it's avail, does like 400mi and has 22kWh onboard. Same probably for the electric 718. Otherwise going to the BMW iX3. I say 'if available' because the '24 Cayenne e-Hybrid GTS was like a unicorn, it was never widely accessible to buy.

NOTE: 19.2 kW is max charge rate for North America - and there are not that many EVSE's in the wild that meet that criteria … so not sure why you're holding out for that that…

personally I prefer Taycan J2 cahrging speeds (320 kW+ and a good flat line charging curve) and a solid 320 miles range is good enough (6 hours driving seat time between 20 min fast charging sessions) is good enough for me.

price however will dictate a lot for me as noted…

Suggest you drive both before you pull the trigger unless range is your # 1 issue. The iX3 will hopefully return BMW to being a sporty car. We know that the Macan EV is a sports car when properly spec’d.

I too will test drive an iX3 (or more likely the sedan next year’s version) on my favorite, exciting, curvy, cornering road. I hope it succeeds in returning to BMW Driving Excitement -- doing so as well in reverse as the iX failed.

What are the quality issues you've experienced with your Macan?
i'm going to have to agree with him about the overall quality of the Macan Electric. I'm waiting for my 4S to be delivered (SGNeo) and my ICE Macan GTS was in the shop for an oil change last week and they put me in a low mileages service loaner Macan 4 EV. Our dealership has six in their fleet. It only had 930 miles on it and it felt like it was falling apart.. interior components were creaking from all over the inside of the cabin. It didn't hold a candle to my GTS so I'm really nervous right now.

I've also driven a few new Macan 4 that had less than 100 miles on them while I was considering options for my own build. Each one of them without exception had a dash rattle, cabin squeak or some combination, and one of them had a suspension knock.

I got the Macan purely as a city driver so a bigger car isn't what I would want, sticking to ICE for long distance travelling. Also will probably not get another EV until solid state batteries are proven and mass produced, guessing in the next 5 - 10 years.

I believe Porsche is making a 7 seater right? code name Prestige or something? I would definitely want that as the next EV, Cayenne is an odd size to me - roomier but not by much compared to the Macan.

It drives nicely, but the interior quality is just not there in my opinion. Lots of small rattles, the doors feel flimsy and not premium like on a Taycan or even an X5/GLE.

I think at £60-70k is a great car, the moment you start pushing a configuration around £90/100k it enters a territory where alternatives have a more premium feel.

I'm torn on this - I'm not trading a Macan for a Cayenne - but I am considering what to do with my Hybrid 2021 Cayenne Hybrid - but Porsche's pricing for their EV's is bit out of control in my opinion - but I'm not sure the value is there - mind you I've been a porsche victim since 2008 so I'm fairly numb to Porsche pricing, but their recent pricing has been "outlandish" and not offering the value proposition along with the Porsche tax - so I'm really really torn

it will all come down to pricing for me…

there is no question I'm trading the Cayenne Hybrid - the question is will Porsche get to be the replacement…

more details are required - stay tuned…
Hi to All. Agree on many fronts.

Pricing is running away….

More importantly, EV gremlins in Macan EV (all models), does not bode well for more expensive Cayenne EV…. ?

I cannot imagine Porsche purposely produces Macan EVs with electrical and software issues on purpose. So why would same company make perfect Cayenne EV cars leaving their Macan ( and Taycan) owners gasping for air?

Time for Porsche battle-proven ICE models, Cayenne or otherwise ???❣
