It drives nicely, but the interior quality is just not there in my opinion. Lots of small rattles, the doors feel flimsy and not premium like on a Taycan or even an X5/GLE.
I think at £60-70k is a great car, the moment you start pushing a configuration around £90/100k it enters a territory...
I didn't option on my Macan nor on the Taycan as I decided to listen to the 50% of people saying that it was useless.
Then I got a couple of loaners with it....and now I regret it badly :)
Doors really annoyed me.
The driver's one is especially bad, I left it to a dealership to get it "fixed" and they slighly improved it...but i still find myself having to close it twice a few times a day..
A few rattles from the panoramic roof back, but not as annoying as the doors which feel...
You only get 2.3kw/h with the Porsche one on a 3-pin plug, so for that purpose the cheaper one would do the same.
If you upgrade the home plugs to a 32A the mobile charger is definitely capable of reaching 7Kw/h (I do use the one from the taycan on the macan at that speed on a daily basis)
I just tried to book a service appointment to get my Macan doors fixed as the driver's one doesn't close 50% of times I "normally" try to close and I also have rattles in one the speaker (standard ones).
The dealership called me to say that it will take months for them to find the time...but...
This happened to me 2-3 times too...after tapping on any other tyre settings and going back to 21 summer (which is my default it seems to go away).
What is interesting is that now the car is suggesting I should have front tyres at 2.5psi, rear right at 2.4psi and rear left at 2.3psi as...
Same for my taycan, according to the dealer it was due to lack of other spare parts after COVID.
Apparently for the same reason my taycan doesn't have the electric adjustment for the steering wheel (while my Macan has it on the base steering)
Has anyone found a decent solution to attach an ipad or any tablet to the back of the Macan seats? (14 way) for the little ones sitting on the back?
Thanks
A
I had that feeling too with the taycan (especially coming from a 8-series with soft closing doors), but I never had to shut the door twice... like 70% of times I do on the Macan
My driver's door needs quite a push to shut down and lots of times doesn't close properly on the 1st attempt, and I noticed that the other doors are also a bit flimsy when it comes to close/open.
Does anyone have similar issues/suggestions?
This is the single subjective element that bothers me...
No it is definitely a leather issue - my car has something similar and I agreed with the dealership they need to replace the leather (however I have not bothered to arrange it yet...)
Did you confirm this?
I am also noticing that sometimes the car struggles to heat the cabin...today I had it set at 24 celsius and it was still blowing cold air for 10mins or so
