It’s amusing to observe people who don’t relish the era when SUVs can outpace supercars and sports cars. SUVs aren’t designed for such performance and are significantly more affordable. It won’t be long before electric vehicles become lighter and surpass all competitors. It’s an inevitable trend.

What about physics? It’s 3,268 lbs vs. 2,515 lbs. To be quick in the corners, it doesn’t matter if it’s an ICE car or an EV—the weight is what really matters. Price doesn’t win Autocross. Put me in a $10k go-kart and I’ll smoke any EV or ICE car on an Autocross course.

Well, they smoked everyone there, the 47s against the 55s. The only car that was 0.5 seconds slower than them was a Mazda Miata, haha. 😂

I was talking with some PCA members, and we wondered whether a Taycan Turbo S Gen 2 could beat a GT3 RS in autocross.

I had the same suspicion, but I wasn’t sure how it would handle the very tight turns. I found out that several PCA members with Macans had the same concern and never brought their Macans either. Now they’re excited to bring them to the next PCA Autocross. LOL

I’m approximately two seconds slower than the GT when running all-season tires. I believe the GTS equipped with summer tires can compete with the GTs.

Just for reference, the winning car was a GT3 RS with a time of 47.243 seconds. :rock:

I think I’ve got the right replacement for my Audi SQ7, but not my Macan 4. I stumbled upon some cool info: all the Macan EV, Tycan, and Cayenne EV models coming out in 2026 will support Apple CarPlay Ultra. I’m just not sure about the older models.
