The Cayenne EV is 7.7” longer, 1.4” wider, and 2.4” taller than our Macan EV,

And it’s bigger than the current Cayenne. I had a Cayenne Coupe as a loaner, and it barely fit in my garage as it was. I don’t know if I could get anything bigger in there without rearranging significantly.

On Charging speed Cayenne is a monster, but you need a good powerful charger for that, and it’s not going to happen with US infrastructure the next 4 years with the anti EV movement, hence Macan is good enough for me.

Looks like a daddy Macan, style wise. Still say it's too big for my needs, I chose the Macan in part because I wanted to downsize. The Macan feels less boaty and is more fun to drive than the iX. I really don't need the space when it's mostly just me and maybe one passenger.

The charging network is improving with lately Walmart announcing that they intend to install 400 kW chargers in most of their stores by the end of this decades, that Costco is installing 350’s, and also other national commercial operations including Flying J/Pilot, Plaid Pantry, 7-11, Buc-ees, Tim Hortons, and several more have announced similar plans.

Of course as we have experienced, quite a lot of room for improvment right now.

As to the Cayenne’s size, that is also a consideration for us. As to its look, my wife and I reserving judgment until it is completely naked.

There is a very favourable review of the new Cayenne In this months Car magazine. They speculate that the base model will be £ 85k (probably £100k with options) and the Turbo at £160k+. They think efficiency will be about 3.5 miles / kw for the base and 2.5 for the turbo. As the battery is 113kw gross so say 108 kw usable = range of between 270 and 378 so not too different to the Macan. The charging is 400kw so quicker but a bigger battery - assuming the charging curves are similar.

If they are right I’m relieved, as future residuals on the Macan shouldn’t be affected by the Cayenne being close in price but ahead in tech.

We would consider one if right priced and learn more at its’s expected last November LA Auto Show reveal though when at a dealership two days ago we stood news a 2025 Cayenne Coupe and its size increase compared to our Macan EV struck my wife and I as significant. Great if you have the need to haul more stuff, have three teenage high school defensive tackles that need often transportation, though we do not need its greater size. Nevertheless will consider it (just the 2027 coupe version) once it is revealed, know more, etc.

> it was very big but didn’t feel it was whilst driving

Same as the Taycan. All the electric torque, and the rear axle steering, and the smart suspension, makes it feel quite nimble.

While just renderings, this video (with one screen grab printed from it) of this 2027 expected Cayenne coupe version imo, makes it very visually appealing:

Many threads above have mentioned concern about the Cayenne EV pricing as a major factor in their consideration and eventual decision. Curious since three media sources have said that the 2026 Cayenne would start with an entry model and a Turbo as did the Macan EV, what do you estimate would be the MSRP for each one (USD)?
