i am really sorry to disappoint again. but my turbo is parked right now in my garage in Vianna. I left for miami two weeks ago. i parked with 60%. today it has 60%. it is not attached to an charger.
I’m with Petzi on this one, mine also does not loose almost any power when left idle for longer time like a week or two. Same for Taycan.
Another vote here for no battery loss when the car goes days (or even a couple of weeks) without being used.

Not related to my problems.

my red circles are related to chassis, brakes, direction, 4wd, traction control and so on, but not to the hv battery
Mine was rather boring, only got drive system failure notifications. No variety in error messages despite the usual yellow ones for drive assist and tyre change notification (quite stubborn, didn't change tyres and reset didn't do the trick either).

not sure if that helps. in any way. I had no SoC loss until i asked for an update. Now i have about 1% SoS Loss per day. But that is to be expected now that i asked them to have the HV battery maintain the LV battery. I have a dashcam that draws about 0.7Ah nonstop. And in the past it drained my car battery after 3 days. Not anymore as to now the LV is maintained and recharged by the HV battery.
I wonder with anyone that has 1% loss per day either has also something that drains the 12V like my dashcam or some other parasitic draw they don't know of. Or a bad LV battery that the car is trying keep maintaining somehow but it wont charge fully.
28/11/2024: brand new turbo.

==> spring 2025
, it was almost problem free, or similar as @Petzi 's Macan.
Nice car!
Starting from that moment, more and more frequent various red circle of death with partial loss of power

09/20205 :
5 days at the dealership "we've fixed your car with an update", me: "are you sure? Everything points toward hardware issue...etc " but they seem to never listen the customer, because customer is per definition stupid.
50 km after, same problem, but very often

Sometimes in September, idling consumption became insane at 1% soc per day

10/2025
: 5 days at the dealership "we've fixed your car with an another update we had forgotten to do", me: "are you sure? Everything points toward hardware issue..." but they seem to never listen the customer, because customer is per definition stupid. (Bis)
30 km after, same problem, but very very often with total loss of power in very bad and dangerous situation...

03/11/2025: me to the dealership: "stop playing with me, listen to me, it's a hardware problem, look, I even find a way to reproduce the issue. This car is dangerous, keep it and fix it, this time, I want a proof and the details of the work that will be done"

12/12/2025: after no news for more that one month, dealership "we've found the issue, it's linked to the "chassis calculator" and some twisted pins, we had to wait for a special tool from Porsche AG to solve the problem"
Me: "ok, and did you fix the problem of over consumption of the hvac battery, almost 1% of soc per day when idling in my parking?"
dealership:"euh, no. But I'm pretty sure the update has solved the problem"
Me: "Stop with that software update should fix everything even though release notes don't mention this kind of issue, keep the car for the week-end, and check it, keep me posted next Monday "

16/12/2025: dealership "it consumes 1% of SoC per day, is it normal?"
Me:"what, you are asking me that? No, it's not normal, for instance the macan loaner is at less than 1% per week. The idle consumption of my macan is more for one day than an iPhone 17 pro max for one year if you use each day 100% of its battery... It's more than the consumption of a 40 watts light that is on all the day. It's not normal.
And don't tell me it's linked to the 12v battery, it's not the way the Macan works"
dealership:"ok, we have to find a solution with Porsche AG..."
Me:"keep me posted"

19/12/2025: my Turbo has spent 57 days at the dealership, perhaps they solve the main and dangerous circle of death problem (but so far, I don't trust them), and they have no clue of why my Macan consumes more than 40 watts per hour when sleeping...

So far: dealership is useless and seems to don't have any Knowledge relative to electric cars, even though when the root cause of the problem is obviously not the software.
Porsche AG sucks with electric cars which have issues, they for instance design specific tool "on the fly" to cope with problems. So every fix takes weeks in the making...

What a mess, what a bad brand, why the hell did I put 150k€ on such a thing...

@BigApple That's very interesting!

I was pretty certain that the 12v battery is not maintened by the HV battery when the macan is off. Only when it'S on, and that's why some had 12v problems.

how did you/they manage to change that behavior to cope with the drain of the dashcam?

I went to the Mothership in Stuttgart and told them about it and they fixed it when i got back home to the US. This is all beyond the dealerships here in my opinion. I tried that first but honestly they have no clue as my German fellows are not really forthcoming to them it seems.
I had to go to the source first to get things done. It was quite intense but i love my car and i know there had to be solution.

oh and yes you are sort of right about the lack of Maintaining the LV Battery.
I was told the HV car recharges the LV 2xTimes and then gives up (Stops). so it all had to be a simple programming issue to just not give up anymore.

Thats not the sort of thing a manufacturer would do as a one-off for a specific customer. Most (I assume) EVs maintain the 12V battery from the HV battery, even when off. It would be strange that the Macan would only do that "a couple of times" and give up.

I don't think so, for instance, my ex 2018 Tesla which had a 12v battery was not maintening LV battery when idling.
And I guess, most of the EV cars with 12v system are not maintening 12v battery when off/idling. It's more or less like ICE cars, because this 12v powered onboard systems are directly coming from ICE cars. So your ICE car doesn't maintain the LV battery when the motor is off, why the hell the EV should do otherwise. That's was the main assumption 😂

macan will reload the 12v battery from the high voltage battery as long the hv batt. is charged sufficiently.

Correct.

Yes — the Porsche Macan EV does keep its 12 V battery charged even when the car is parked, but with some conditions and caveats:
🔋 How the 12 V battery is charged
The Macan EV uses a DC-DC converter (part of its Integrated Power Box) to supply the 12 V electrical system from the high-voltage traction battery. When the car is awake (driving, charging, preconditioning, running systems), this converter actively maintains the 12 V battery charge.
macanevowners.com +1
🅿 What happens when parked
When you park and lock the car, it goes into a low-power sleep mode to save energy. In that sleep state, the 12 V system isn’t continuously charged like it is when the car is on.
macanevowners.com
However, the car periodically wakes up to:
check system status
support security/telematics
top up the 12 V battery if its voltage drops — as long as the high-voltage battery has enough charge and there aren’t abnormal drains.
macanevowners.com
⚠ Important things to know
If the high-voltage battery gets very low, the car may stop maintaining the 12 V battery to preserve energy.
macanevowners.com
During long periods of parking (weeks or months) or in extreme temperatures, parasitic drains (e.g., alarms, telematics) can still drain the 12 V battery faster than it’s replenished. External 12 V maintainers are recommended for long storage.
macanevowners.com
Porsche recommends keeping the high-voltage battery at a reasonable state of charge during long idle periods (e.g., ~20 – 50 %) to help with 12 V health.
