The downside that I have found out is that my insurance (geico) is not going to cover the extra cost to reapply the ppf if a damage is done to repair they will pay for the paint work but not the added wrap. They are nickel and dime ing everything the even hackle with dealerships on pricing...
oh and yes you are sort of right about the lack of Maintaining the LV Battery.
I was told the HV car recharges the LV 2xTimes and then gives up (Stops). so it all had to be a simple programming issue to just not give up anymore.
I went to the Mothership in Stuttgart and told them about it and they fixed it when i got back home to the US. This is all beyond the dealerships here in my opinion. I tried that first but honestly they have no clue as my German fellows are not really forthcoming to them it seems.
I had to go...
not sure if that helps. in any way. I had no SoC loss until i asked for an update. Now i have about 1% SoS Loss per day. But that is to be expected now that i asked them to have the HV battery maintain the LV battery. I have a dashcam that draws about 0.7Ah nonstop. And in the past it drained...
I was told today that they did a final road test with the Car to make sure everything is fine before they hand it over to me. I ask if it is custom that you would take non Porsche personal with you on this. He said yes sometimes we try to combine a trip if possible.
Did that happen to anyone at a dealer where they use your car that is in for service to drive another costumer to his home without you know or your consent.
This rubbed me certainly the wrong way. But maybe i am overthinking this. Somehow it just does not fit well with me.
To be fair i also...
Needed to see if anyone has an insight on this issue
I had a car at the dealer for 3 months .
they removed the entire Plastic surrounding on the inside of the Frunk. Including the Wipers. When i saw it being removed early in the beginning of their work i was not to worried. But then i saw the...
Correct. At some point when it goes below a certain point the car goes offline. To keep the basic functions alive. But nothing remotely works anymore. Seen it firsthand.
In my case it is around 0.7Ah for my BlackVue dashcam (3cam) they record nonstop. And is also online nonstop.
that can drain a 12v battery fast depending on its capacity. And EV batteries I was told are on the lower end of capacity. But not sure exactly how many Ah the Macan battery...
here is a short update.
a few months ago i went to Stuttgart to talk to some folks over there at the "mothership" about my problem. Learned a lot about it. Bottom line "The BMS charges the 12V battery 2x then it gives up.
I Was told that back then in the summer. But who knows what changed till...
yes that is where i have it. also. I did add a hardware voltage drop switch . to prevent it from draining the 12V battery beyond 11.5V. Want to make sure the car does not go fully dead. But now it seems i no longer need all that.
yes that is how it used to be for me. My Tech Rep mentioned that there was an update and it sounded it was across the entire line of machans. Although i must say that i went to Stuttgart to talk to some folks at the Department where they developed the car. I told them my problem, and they...
