The Cayenne Electric 2026 interior of the "future"- Thoughts?

Fraternal brothers, but is the Cayenne Turbo worth about +$60K more (my estimate) than the Macan Turbo or is a Cayenne 4S worth about $25K more than a Macan Turbo (again my pricing estimates)?

I like the screen design, much better than the current trend of attaching a large iPad-looking screen to the dashboard. The larger integrated OLED screens look so much better and elegant.

Surface heating of other parts of the car besides the seats it’s a good idea as it should help warm the cabin without consuming as much energy as heating does.

Having more interior space and being able to adjust the rear seats position electronically is a welcome feature.

Add the panoramic roof with variable light control, soft close doors, HUD, Apple car key, HD headlights, and hopefully native NACS and there is nothing not to like about the new Cayenne EV! Except the price, probably lol.

I really like my Macan and it satisfies my needs but I would lie if I said I wouldn’t consider trading it for this Cayenne EV, specially if there is a coupe version.

Agree on all points but the screen and dashboard layout. I think the current Macan EV is better ergonomically and aesthetically (I like the screen integration into the dashboard instead of the screen stuck on the dashboard and I like the haptic buttons for environmental controls right where they are. This new interior is a step backwards from what I have in my opinion. I hope they don’t do this to the Macan.

There will be a coupe version for 2027 model year. Looking at Porsche’s pricing history a Cayenne coupe has been typically $4,700 more than the SUV version.

On the other hand, an updated Macan EV with solid state battery technology, less weight, soft close doors, electronic adjustable rear seats, Apple car key, panoramic roof with VLC, better tire and wheel options, HD matrix headlights per US standards, native NACS, more functional software based on Rivian (without the glitches) with real OTA updates, and no rattles would be impossible to resist! Talk about a sales record breaking vehicle… are you listening Porsche? You can only dream! Lol
Oh, and another overdue thing, an integrated realtime monitoring system using the available cameras, like Tesla. No Porsche dash camera or aftermarket cameras should be needed. I would gladly pay for this option!
Maybe the 2028 Macan? On my side, the first step for this went smoothly. Surprisingly, my wife did not object to it and okayed the replenishment of the “new car fund”.

The passenger screen is still an optional extra.

My CPO Macan came with a passenger screen. My wife and I agreed that except for when we road trip and are sitting at a charger (or similar) to keep it turned off. Which we happily have for now the last +3,000 miles.

However even without anyone touching it, it still gets dust. As does of course the center stack screens. To clean simply and quickly, even the fingerprints on the two center ones, a clean microfiber rag with a special small, fine mist spray bottle which one receives distilled water into it, work together really well.

Not going to option passenger display on our Cayenne EV.

I'm with you on this. Keeping the current interior design but adding all those options you pointed out are what I would gladly pay as well.

Since both are based on the PPE, I suppose that upgrading the HV battery of the Macan to the same type the Cayenne has would be relatively easy although perhaps more expensive. I would not be surprised if it eventually happens, but probably not before the 2028 model.

I think I’ve got the right replacement for my Audi SQ7, but not my Macan 4. I stumbled upon some cool info: all the Macan EV, Tycan, and Cayenne EV models coming out in 2026 will support Apple CarPlay Ultra. I’m just not sure about the older models.
