Retrofit Innodrive

Hi all,

Thank you for all your comments and advice.

I drive a 2024 Macan 4 with adaptive cruise control. I would like to upgrade either by Porsche or any other means to Innodrive.

Any good advice, besides it's not possible?

Definitely possible, although expensive. All you need is the right software and hardware. It’s available at any Porsche dealership. However, note that it’s firmly attached to a different and appropriately optioned Porsche Macan!

Certainly possible by selling and upgrading to the correct spec
The only one that can do it is Porsche but they are only interested in selling you another CPO or brand new model.
If you had to do this (kidnap the right people/family members for the right info, gut the car to install the parts from a stolen donor car, fund russian hackers to code everything back using friendly dealer tools (need connection to mothership/etc.) it would still be much cheaper to sell and upgrade to the correct spec.
Happy to be proven wrong (but this not a BMW or whatever car you had before that, that was fairly simple/possible to do).

There is no official way to retrofit InnoDrive/Drive Assist to a Macan after build, even if the car has ACC.

Taycans with ACC had all of the hardware needed for innodrive so I assume it’s the same with the Macan, yet there’s no pathway to obtain it.

Porsche have removed FoD which allowed those correctly fitted with hardware, the ability to subscribe. Ie those with ACC could have upgraded to InnoDrive.

Paid 2K euro for Innodrive, imagine same for the UK.
Only thing included with Porsche is the air that comes inside the car, everything else is an option.

Innodrive comes with ACC

Not possible. Original Taycans came with a FoD option to add either or both ALK and InnoDrive if equipped with ACC. That is not available for Macan EV or J1.2 Taycans at least at this time.

In the US, ACC was not standard. In order to get ACC you had to buy the innoDrive option. So a US spec 2025 with ACC will also have innoDrive.

Adds a bit of confusion to a world wide forum where each market is sec'd differently.

The reason I ask, is I configured and built my car late Dec25 with ACC(opted), when I placed the order using that build code 1st week of Jan26. The dealers system was then using the 2026 builder. My ACC code was listed within the option list as accepted ok.
Car arrived last week. And I've noticed no innodrive. I knew I had opted for it. Scratching my head this past weekend. I've now noted using the current UK online builder it is actually not part of the ACC option anymore and innodrive is now rebadged as driveassist and not only a separate option altogether but not even configurable as an option until you opt for 4S model & higher. Dealer confirmed with me back in Jan that I had the feature. Verbally of course. He likely wasn't even aware of the 2026 changes. Ouch moment for me and next strategy move required. Thoughts.

Sorry, I should’ve been clearer — selecting InnoDrive/Drive Assist includes ACC as standard, but having ACC alone doesn’t mean you have InnoDrive/Drive Assist.

I wish I had selected Drive Assist also, but a few months in and I’ve learnt to live without

Yes. The point I'm making is I went thru the builder at the time (2025 builder) & innodrive was within the ACC option package (a sub listing, when you click on any option it shows you what your getting, ACC & innodrive). As of today the 2026 Builder. innodrive (now re named driveasssit) is a separate option altogther.

My USA-spec MY24 Macan 4 has ACC but no Innodrive (which I now wish I had specced.)

Pretty sure it wasn't.

Innodrive option included ACC but not the other way ie ACC option did not include Innodrive.
