This is great to hear. I have spoken to several owners of other brands with 2027 and they cannot handle these driver awareness aids and how intrusive they are in addition to some of the comfort entry functions such as door handles that can snap your hands.
I know one thing I am not going to...
@jergans thank you so much for sharing this and good to know that sensitivity can be adjusted. I guess I only noted that extra camera behind the wheel on a 2026 and not a 2025. My ask is a little bit beyond the settings to learn from current owners if they find it annoying or actually...
As I said on the topic of early adopters of Macan EV, "they roll it out then figure it out", when it comes to a completely new product, which this is, since it does not share anything with the previous iX3.
What happens now to all the first customers since the first year of allocations...
That is probably so, but it was standing outside facing the sun, then I took it for a test drive with no errors but when I wanted to enable ACC to test that out, it was all greyed out. I called them and they said to do the stop/lock/wait and that restored the function.
This was a 2025 Turbo...
2026 models now have this infrared camera behind the wheel. I would like to get some feedback from US owners if this can be turned off permanently (assume not), how it works in real life, and if anyone finds it overly annoying. I am all for this technology as our 2026 model on order will be for...
Great feedback on the 2025 Turbo, so wonder when you got it delivered. I drove one in January and the first thing was ACC not usable, so had to stop/shutdown/wait, and then it was working. The dealer said this has something to do with the sun shining into the ACC sensor. Any older ones I drove...
I can start with one change. Price increase. Most likely, more annoying assistance systems that cannot be turned off.
Otherwise, since the configurator is still on the 2026, there is no 2027 information available. I usually can get exactly what is changing from one model year to another as soon...
Definitely a risk and not a small one but betting they figured it mostly out by now. As you are pointing out it is a matter of circumstance and will be a net new family car for my son's commute where EV is the best for it and since I am stuck in the Porsche vortex, that was the only choice. My...
Lesson here to early adopters rushing to get the newest shiny gadget. Completely new product, electronics and sensor heavy, rushed to market after being 2 years overdue, deceptively called Macan while having zero components in common and nothing in common with Taycan. This is just part of the...
I understand that EV is not new to you but when you say that Range is important, how much is not enough if you have home charging and now Macan EV can charge at Tesla SCs.
My advice is to go and start with a RWD that comes with the least standard equipment to allow you to explore most options...
There are two possible reasons: 1) Your battery Temp and SoC are not optimal, you should see battery Temp optimal on the left tube battery screen when the right side of the ring level is within the bracket (battery is preheated when nav is pointed to the charger) and also SoC should be low. 2)...
I am in the same situation with July delivery (no guarantee it will be made at all), but given the latest precedent, corporate absorbed it for any signed orders that cost a few hundred million dollars. There is no way to tell what will happen now. According to my dealer GM, the tariff applies to...
Looks like this is a 2026 thing for a GTS and a Turbo at least from the configurator and press pictures. This is a Porsche heritage thing but only now catching up to the EVs. I do not have it on a 2023 Taycan but I do have designations printed on the ICE Cayenne Turbo and Macan GTS.
We have come a long way from 3 years included, then to 1 year, and now you are on your own.
My Taycan has 2 months left of free charging under the 3 years. My 2026 GTS will have none.
There is no mention of it in the Standard Equipment list. Therefore, no more free charging included would be my interpretation. However, any 2026 US owner can confirm if that is not the case.
You say you want Performance, but you did not add Sports Chrono that gives you Sports Plus mode.
GT steering wheel is a good choice, but you need to be sure you like it over the Standard.
I also see you did not add Matrix Lights or Adaptive Cruise Control (most regret not getting it).
There is no harm done by doing this for cell rebalancing purposes. This is directly from corporate and documented in a TSB and if you skip this step, you are not going to let the car initiative rebalancing sequence.
And you would be correct, 100% recommendation applies to LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) EV batteries. Macan EV battery is a common NMC type that is not recommended to be charged to 100%, specifically NMC 811–class chemistry (high‑nickel NMC) the same family used in the Taycan and Audi PPE‑platform...
Complete and total nonsense, so let's agree not to listen to clueless dealers, that is the advice.. If they say, corporate told them, then let's see some proof. I have access to internal docs and the chemistry while improved did not change the fundamentals of battery care from Taycan. I can...
