  1. Best tyres for wear (comp)

Yeah, I'd rather have my fun in my topless rwd manual NA flat 6 2-seater Porsche that's 1.1T lighter 😁 and use the 2.5T Macan SUV for more mundane tasks. Sure you can destroy a brand new set of tyres in 5min if you are so inclined, that's besides the point. Point is, driving a same size ICE...
  2. Physical key?

Tesla -> open glovebox Porsche -> sorry mate, been locked for the last couple of years, no one knows where the keys are (1 possibly in the glovebox)😁 meanwhile back in Porsche HQ during design Engineer -> finally digital key implementation after 10 years Marketing -> not so fast, you can work...
  3. DIY Cabin filter and windshield wiper blades replacement

A member posted this did not fit: https://www.macanevowners.com/forum/threads/rear-wiper-replacement.21800/post-373907
  4. Best tyres for wear (comp)

Thanks guys & gals for your input although not a single valid entry yet, several hypotheses: 1) Macan has so little tyre wear that deliveries in 2024 are still on the original set irrespective of mileage 2) Macan has so much tyre wear that anything over 30K km is a distant dream/science fiction...
  5. My new GTS order

Since you are a serial Porsche buyer I understand why you chose the Macan over the iX3 but curious if you checked the base Cayenne (since same price as GTS/already have 911/taycan, wife’s car) or is it just too big to consider?
  6. Best tyres for wear (comp)

When my tyres eventually wear out I will be looking for replacements. If you got more than 30K km out of your summer tyres please state kms / tyre / rim size / macan model like: 35K / VENTUS S1 EVO3 EV / 20" / RWD The winner(s) will be forever listed in the 1st post. :CWL: In case of ties...
  7. Does Off Road Mode provide more grip in snow

    It's under Trip not Drive.
  8. screens

I got this 3 times after the update, did not get it before, annoying to say the least. Gut feeling says update messed it up. Problem is PCM reset does nothing to bring it back, have to stop, lock the car, walk away so the car sleeps, restart. Porsche "quality" is not what is used to be:CWL: I...
  9. Does the sport SOUND play through the Bose or BM sounds system or a dedicated speaker

Looking at the youtube video (link below) and attached pic it appears taycan brother has: 2 external speakers (1 front, 1 rear) 2 internal speakers (1 left rear, 1 right rear) 2 control units (1 for internal sound located left rear, 1 for external sound located right rear) The front external...
  10. DIY Cabin filter and windshield wiper blades replacement

I just had a look at my Macan. You were right. It is exactly as you say. I recommend this video from the Taycan as it appears at least from the outside and user comments to be near enough the same process. Video also shows the exact same part number "Audi" filter for less than half the price of...
  11. DIY Cabin filter and windshield wiper blades replacement

Porsche tax is nothing new, prices have always been eye watering. Regarding wipers & filter I haven’t checked but if I had to guess: 1) Wipers same as all VAG, with the car running, switch it off, move wiper stalk immediately, wipers swipe to vertical position & stay there, swap with Bosch...
  12. Hood logo GONE

Looking at the link above removing the badge without opening the frunk would cause damage to the bonnet and the badge if you were to pry it. I imagine who ever took it had access to the bonnet? If the screws miraculously unthreaded themselves (say by vibration) as the screw head is under the...
  13. Macan Turbo EV – Sport Plus vs Normal… turns out it was Just Regen?

Tons of reasons. Will list a couple. You did not alternate between runs meaning first 2 runs used more energy because car was not at operating temp (battery, cabin, etc.,), driver through repetition keeps improving, driving becomes much smoother, learns environment, braking/turning points, has...
  14. Strange cyclical noise from the frunk area on Porsche Macan EV 2025

Sounds like something brushing against the cooling fan?
  15. Issues Getting Parts for Bodywork Repairs

I'm confused as to how the colour changed from provence to white? Crash definitely a silver lining, merc far superior.
  16. Random daily Macan EV photos - post yours! 🤳

Impressive work by the thieves, could be easily deterred by 2018 tech like Sentry mode but sadly Porsche is more interested in seeing how much can they charge for crap like leather/painted vents.
  17. ⚡️ Home Charging Issues after Software Update? (Tracking Thread)

It's a "sh*t show" for Porsche because instead of sorting OTA updates they cheapened out and used their antiquated dealer network instead. When my ID.3 was receiving OTA updates these were rolled out in waves ("canary release"), waves of 1000 vehicles. If no issues were reported next wave would...
  18. ⚡️ Home Charging Issues after Software Update? (Tracking Thread)

I was referring to this: "It appears the recent software update narrowed the Macan’s tolerance to European 230V limits" and replied by saying our grid (1ph) is 230v +-10% = limits 207v - 253v. It is clear what is happening but the germans have not flashed NA Macans with European 230V limits as...
  19. ⚡️ Home Charging Issues after Software Update? (Tracking Thread)

Don't know who or how comes up with these theories but I can tell you our grid is 230v +-10% and maximum voltage is 253. Btw we charge 3ph 400v (max. voltage 437) at 11kW (16A) as 1ph will only give you 7.4kW (32A). If the OBC is 22kW we can charge at 32A 3ph
  20. Steering Wheel Quick Access button- double press

My MINI has 6 custom button but then again it's a proper car none of this poverty spec Macans. In addition it has Previous and Next track buttons like every other car known to man/woman. Porsche cost cutting is next level, I bet the German who discovered this retired to Monaco the next day.
