Innodrive "autopilot" works ok, similar to Tesla Autopilot. It does seems to stay to the right a bit more than a Tesla.

Without using the "autopilot" capability, the lane-keeping system is horrible, it is correcting when it is not needed, making driving in corners almost dangerous with the system on. I tend to turn it off as it is unsettling the way it intervenes when not needed. Specially roads that have no clear center line. A lot worse than Tesla to be honest, I would not spend any money on that one. At one point it even tried pushing the car away from the edge of the road straight into an oncoming car.. go figure. But perhaps it needs calibrating...

Same experience as Daniel (@Etmaniac) described. I tend to turn off the line keeping system (thanks EU....) on mine mountain roads since it's more dangerous than having it turned off.

I've driven about 70-80% of the miles I've done in my Macan using Innodrive and I think it's great. It's definitely not self-driving but it is really good at driving along a lane on a major road like a motorway or dual carriageway and for stop-start traffic on any road. It lets you spend time on keeping aware of what's around without needing to worry about steering or braking. Ultimately it's a much more relaxing way to drive long journeys.

It's useless for even slightly twisty roads but then why buy a Porsche if you aren't driving those yourself.

It's essential to turn off the auto speed select - at least here in the UK - or it'll end up killing you as it'll quite happily slam on the brake from 70 to 30 on a fast carriageway. There's a road close to where I live that always detects a 30 mph speed limit on a 70 mph road for no obvious reason, its not even crossing roads or intersections to confuse it, just empty countryside.

I take the point about it driving slightly too far to the right. I sometimes think it does this but more often than not when I check the lane centering it looks about right most of the time. Still wish it would drive an inch or two to the left though.

The only thing that InnoDrive handles poorly for me are instances where the lane widens to split into two or for an exit lane.

The car tries to stay centered in the widening lane and then can’t make up it’s mind about which lane it should get into when lane markings appear in front of it.
I've experienced this and the inverse. It doesn't seem to recognize the car in front, staggered to the left or right, when two lanes merge into one. I've had to hit the brakes because Innodrive didn't recognize when it's supposed to "merge like a zip," as they say in New Zealand.

Yeah things get "exciting" when the lines start to widen or disappear!

I’ve used InnoDrive frequently, specially when driving on the highway, and l like it a lot. However, yesterday it failed me for the first time. It failed to keep the lane and the car started to slow down even though the cluster screen showed it active and the speed at 70 mph. The screen was frozen and I had to reboot the PCM to fix that. The failure was preceded by Apple Music pausing and Apple CarPlay screen also freezing. Everything worked normally after pulling over and turning the car off. It may have something to do with the buggy new CarPlay as I had recently installed IOS 26 beta in my phone.
THE MAIN MESSAGE FROM THIS: “Pay attention and don’t fully trust any automated driving system yet. Be ready to take over quickly!”

I have a post in here somewhere alerting to the fact that merging traffic is a problem for Innodrive. I came way too close to rear-ending a tractor trailer with it engaged. Scary. My fault for looking away right at the wrong time.

The lane centering feature is designed, I believe, to make sure a distracted driver doesn’t go off the road when Innodrive isn’t engaged. It gives a nudge to keep the car on the road / in the lane and bring driver attention back to the task of driving.
