NEW UPDATE: VR28.13 SQ5 Released June 29 2026

The chime for speeding has changed, so that’s one way to tell the update was applied.

The previous update introduced 5G on the pcm. So it can be noticed.

I believe these are both wrong, happy to be proven otherwise.
5G was available to some prior 28.13 (28.11 I believe)
Chime was changed prior SQ5 (SQ4 or maybe earlier, memory rusty).

I have 6 updates installed in early May, so definitely predates SQ5 and perhaps SQ4 and it has the quieter chime.

Checking in again. I've never really had any software issues with my Turbo, but SQ5 is a noticeably improvement from a drivetrain, suspension and handling perspective. If these things are a priority for you I would not delay getting SQ5 installed.

A few reviews have commented on how the GTS feels to drive vs other models, I wonder if all GTS models that left the factory had SQ5 or a prior version of it already?

I have a 2026 Turbo and I don't even know if I need this update. I can call my service advisor at Porsche but I really don't want to because they don't know what they doing

I'm following your Electrify Canada charging issues as we are also having trouble with it here in BC. Sometimes we try 3 different chargers at the station before the car connects...and the 350KW worked great the first time we used it but has not worked at all lately.

Have used chargers in Merritt, Osoyoos, Calgary, Kelowna and Edmonton and the only EC charger I have ever struggled with was Kelowna. Plug and charge didn’t work, so I just started the session from the My Porsche App, plugged it in when it said ready, and that did it. It was almost like it wasn’t able to verify the transaction via plug and charge. Tried two different chargers in Kelowna.

Okay, Iearned somethign new.... I have been fumbling around in the App trying to figure out how you were able to start the charge from the app (by passing plug and charge).

Finaly found it! Its buried deep in the navigation tab, charging, and then select the station, and charger and then you can activate the charger. Its buried deep, but its there. I will have to try this to see if it gets me past my charging issues too.

Do you know if you activate first, then connect the car?

I maybe should know this, but how do you activate the DC charging at Electrify Canada with the Porsche App? I have been poking around in the app, and I may be missing it, or don't understand where to look.

I know you can activate it with the Electrify Canada App, but from what I can tell you don't get your free charging unless you activate it with Plug & Charge. Thanks in advance.

From the My Porsche App it remains free as you are using the Porsche Charging Service. In your app, click on the map icon, select charging and then click on the station, click choose plug type, and then it lists whatever plugs are available. You can click on the plug that you are sitting at and hit start charging. You should be able to do this even if you aren’t near the charger just to test out the steps.

I have only had this happen once, and that was about a week ago. But yes I hit start charging before I connected to the car. It felt like some kind of authorization issue so figured that was my best approach and it ended up working.
