I know its a little subjective but to help me complete my 4S build I'm polling feedback to see which seat people would see as generally more luxuriously "comfortable" in daily driving and longer distances. As someone who is almost 60, Im not looking for figure hugging side bolster support at high speeds lol. I was going for the 14 way "Comfort" option (not for the massage function) but surprisingly have had some people tell me the 18 way sport seats are more "comfortable" (better lateral support) so was hoping to get a broader result. Thanks in advance for feedback and advice.

Ive been driving over a year in the 14 way comfort seats and find them super comfortable making long trips easy. My wife and kids agree that these are great seats and much more comfortable than our old Audi A7

It just makes me laugh that the 14 way seats have massage and the 18 way seats do not. People who drive sporty couldn’t use a little massage every now and then?? Cmon Porsche. I have 18 way seats and would probably give them up for the massage feature. But please, please, if you can, go sit in the seats.

I had the same debate as I just placed an order for my Macan. I'm a big guy and generally dont like aggressive bolsters. When sitting in the sport seats, even though the bolsters are somewhat adjustable, a felt wedged in. I have a long commute and prefer as little bolster as I can get. So I went with the comfort seats.

I had the 18 way in a 2022 Cayenne GTS, which were hugely more comfortable than the 14 way comfort with massage in the Macan. Driving a long distance in the Macan is hard, and, because of the lump down the centre, I have to sit to one side, for the sake of my back. Strangely, the passenger's seat does not have the same lump down the centre, and is much more comfortable.

It is very hard to find "comfort" in the comfort seats.

I recently had a loaner Macan 4 with 14-way comfort seats. My wife found it tricky to get out of the car due to the bolsters on the base and height of the vehicle, a real problem for us!

However, the dealer had a Macan GTS with 18-way seats in the showroom. My wife did not find the bolsters any worse or better, even though they can be adjusted. I personally preferred these 18-way seats, as I could tighten them in slightly. I don't know if the GTS vs non-GTS Macan has different 18-way seats, other than the Race-tex covering. I found the 14-way comfort seats to be quite wide.

You probably need to try both with a drive if possible.

The 18 ways have significantly larger side bolsters, both bottom and back areas. If you or a member of your family might have entering or exiting issues climbing over the larger bolsters, as recommended above in a couple of posts first take a drive to your local dealership and sit in both.. Then get in and out of each one four or more times to see if the larger bolsters are your friends.
Thanks - don’t think any of the family would have issues but good to know.

I have the 18 ways and kind of regret them.

I'm too short (5'7") for the shoulder bolsters to really do anything, and it feels like there's a lump of material that pushes into my back below the shoulder blades. I needed to up the lumbar support to cancel that out.

If I were to do it over again, I'd get the 14 ways with massage.
I took the 18-way and could not be happier with my choice.
I am 5'7" and 150 lbs. The seats fit me perfectly.
I slid around the 14-way when I tried them on a test drive.

I have an ICE Macan GTS with 14-way Comfort and they are almost the same in feel to the Macan EV 18-way.

At the end of the day you MUST sit it them and try them.
But if your dealer does not have an 18-way EV seat for you to try, consider trying a 14-way ICE and imagine the 18-way EV seats feel the same.

Same here, about 5'-9", 150 lbs and the 18-way seats are just perfect. I regularly drive a 4 hour trip and never feel the need to stop out of discomfort. The seating position (along with steering wheel setup) is so good that I can rest the back of my arms on the large side bolsters while keeping both hands in a comfortable position on the wheel.
