I think regulars on this forum are by now well-acquainted with the common problems that have been experienced in 2024 and 2025 Macan EV's.

Among other things, update-related charging issues, frequent yellow circles, and red circles, charging port issues, rattles, spurious reboots, odd SOC and range indications, silenced sound systems, and poor dealer service support. I'm sure I'm missing one or three issues.

Some of us have been lucky enough not to have experienced these things (me included).

My question is this: what kind of problems (if any) are 2026 model year owners experiencing? Offhand, I don't think I've seen any pervasive 2026 issues. What say you?

There won't be that many MY26 cars on the road - some folk have just taken delivery of their GTS models which are all MY26 (mid February delivery).

The VIN needs to have a "T" (10th character) to be MY26.

I didn’t take delivery of the MY25 Turbo I’d ordered in part because of the problems owners of MY24/25 models described on this forum (that and wanting some of the options introduced for MY26). My car was supposed to have been built by March 17, but as of this morning, the build completion date shown on the Porsche app was bumped two weeks to March 31. I’m very much hoping the wait will prove to have been worth it!

Afaik there is already an issue with the trunk not properly closing occasionally on MY26 models. Apparently related to the digital key, deactivating that helps.
My 2025 developed this last Saturday. It was a systems /software issue rather than a mechanical one.

The only two issues I’ve had with my MY26 Turbo so far are that I have to let the wall charger manage the charging rather than the car (to take advantage of smart charging) and a minor glitch where images are superimposed on one of the screens.

Happened to me after getting it PPF. Not sure if connected to digital key as it started when the detailer had the car. Porsche just had to recalibrate the boot sensor. Tech thought it was strange as there should’ve been a warning saying it needed recalibrating.

A few minor issues with profiles not loading correctly and having to manually set the seat, and change a few settings again.

Also car going in to privacy mode happened twice now, so you cant see/set any car details in the app.

So minor really, hope these things come to pass.

Apart from that what a fantasic car to live with, grin factor 10 every time I use it.

Done 2.5K kms since 6-feb including 1200 kms on the autobahn. charges really quick and the route and charge plan for journeys are superb

3D surround with the wheel view and transparent bonnet are alsoexcellent features that work well.

As is the auto reverse and trained parking

This is my first Porsche so excuse my enthusiasm,

I picked up my 2026 Macan 4S the last week of February.

I've had these issues:

Car automatically deleted from the MyPorsche app
I called the dealer. They didn't know what was going on. I was using the Digital Key and was locked out. I had to call a family member to bring me the physical key, though thankfully I was only a few miles from the house. My Porsche dealer was most unhelpful and did not care. I called Porsche directly to investigate, and they say apparently my dealer moved the vehicle to a different (wrong) account. Porsche moved it back.

Digital Key automatically deleted/resetting
This occurred twice within 3 days of taking delivery. Then it happened against two nights ago. Each time you have to sit in the camera and add the digital key back to your phone. I have an iPhone 15, FWIW.

Ambiguous PSI requirements
The door jams list different PSI vs. what the app tells me is the target. All four tires came overinflated. Door jams list 45 for front and 40 PSI for rear tires. App says target is 40 PSI all around.

Cameras/sensors inconsistent
The front sensors sometimes detect when I've slowed down and am parking. There could be obstacles in front of the vehicle. The sensors sometimes detect it and other times they don't. In other words, the front camera does not come on when it should.

I programmed the joker button to manually turn on the camera view, meaning I have to manually press the button to get the cameras to consistently activate when I am slowing down and parking.

Summary
The vehicle is gorgeous and absolutely a blast to drive. For comparison, my existing vehicle is a 2023 Lexus ES Hybrid in the Ultra Luxury trim fully optioned out. I don't feel the overall experience is as refined as the Lexus. In terms of performance, the ES and Macan are obviously in different planes of existence. But when it comes to refinement, everything in the ES is meticulously laid out with a clear vision. The Macan has some impressive technology (the digital key, the front view that shows the distance between the hood and an obstacle in front it ) that beats the Lexus, but it's doesn't work consistently. For the price point, you have to know and accept what you're getting into.

I do have the 21 inch wheels, acoustic glass, HUD, Burmester... I paid for all the extra options and the off road package.

Couple other things — I'd say the road noise is more than my ES, even with the acoustic glass.

I haven't tested the Burmester apples to apples on same track as the ES' Mark Levinson, but I feel the Burmester has better, crispier highs. The bass response is even more muted than the Mark Levinson, and the ML doesn't have impressive bass in the first place. FWIW: I play mostly rock and jazz music, not hip hop or radio pop.

The HUD is a bit more fleshed out than the ES HUD. But is it worth the price Porsche charges? Meh.
On the audio, I don't think the Burmester is worth the $5K or whatever it was. It's maybe just marginally better than the ML and regresses on the bass. Definitely not $5K better.

Happy to answer any questions.

I have not tried the auto reverse/reverse parking. I think those were options that I paid extra for (I definitely have them). I only have about 150 miles on the vehicle so far after about two weeks of ownership. Will take my three year old out for a spin in it this weekend.

You're not the first to do this, but there is a button in the PCM that does exactly this and is visible at all times at the very bottom of the column of icons on the left of the center screen (in the US).

I use this all the time, as the auto detection is indeed very spotty.

Yes, but I found the touch screen a headache to physically touch when I’m trying to maneuver in a confined space or such as in a parking garage.

This is where I feel a simple button, even in the center console, would go a long way.

But if Porsche wants to do right for customers, maybe just allow a toggle in settings that allows cameras to automatically come on when the vehicle is below 10-15 mph, which is what the Lexus does and it works beautifully. No need for complicated sensors.

I love my new macan and maybe more veteran Porsche owners will dislike me for saying this, but there are weird engineering or design decisions which honestly serve no one. And for this price point, it’s very surprising.

I have the same issue and Porsche are investigating this, but it seems the car measures the pressure with respect to ambient temperature. Its warming up here now so mine is now changing in line with the door sticker, it started at 2.5Bar but as you see below its now stating more correct

Same as mine. Came heavily overinflated. I've reduced it accordingly to the PCM suggestion(which considers the temperature) Fine now.
