Yes, it's the same key and indeed, it should be stored inside the glovebox.
"The glove box can be locked and unlocked using the emergency key. The emergency key is located in a bracket on the inside of the glove compartment lid. "...
Nice config. So far I'm still very excited with the GTS. Software also stable and runs faster than <MY26. It drives really fantastic and the GTS specific sport sound is surprisingly a nice gimmick.
Fantastic. Compared to a 4S and 4 I had as loaner before. Compared to my Flat6 981 on my local "track", it also delivers a big smile and I've turned from Petrolhead now 180 degrees. The GTS specific Sound useful here. Also my (pimped) Tesla M3P is fully forgotten.
Software runs really faster...
@Stuart there should be an option to change/adjust the main key. Probably the other phone has the main key assigned and switching. Still it should not switch if one key is active and in use.

@daveo4EV not sure where you get the info from. Tesla is...
@Stuart I recommend to report this to the dealer and use a single key type in the meanwhile. If you have the digital key there should not be any reason to still use the normal key on a regular base. Entering with 2 phones with shared keys should also not be a problem. Whoever unlocks first will...
This is not the reality. I ran the same in the Tesla for 2 years and there are scenarios when you are without your phone, or your phone is lost or simply "dead". With dead I mean it's not off and on minimal power reserve, but there are other scenarios where you find your phone no longer opening...
It will come sooner or later. But to some extend obsolete if you choose digital key.
I also skipped the key config and will wait until some other custom aftermarket options are available. The price Porsche assigns for it is really absurd. :)
The physical key should be the backup only. You only need your phone key. But it's a catch22. Because you should have the backup with you in case the phone is "down". ;)
One reason why I did not order this option.
But in any case the software should be able to deal with both keys in parallel...
Still the Bose is lame in the Macan. Compared to the Bose I know from the Taycan, a 911 or my former 981. Tried all settings and sources. Was really disappointed, because my expectations were higher.
That's the whole point. I know that the PCM will not work like I'm used to in a Tesla. But still, it's a Porsche. Having annoying bugs is something different, but I hope my upcoming GTS will be stable.
Like my flat 6 981. The PCM more or less decades behind, but who care's? It drives fantastic...
This is all related to the architecture. This is not a SDV and therefore they do not really patch in many cases. They really flash and run a new software on the vehicle, which is related to the very specific configuration on each car. That's also the reason, why some cars, with the same update...
