If you care a lot about reliability you should never buy a car when it just came out. The Macan is even the first car on a brand new platform (PPE) which is even worse.
Pretty well made, thanks for posting.
Even with the latest competitors from Germany (iX3 and GLC) offering great peak charging rates on paper 350-400 KW, I am surprised how well the Macan holds up. It still charges as fast from 10-80 in 21 minutes.
Arguably the iX3 has better range and there...
European WLTP Figure is actually 2km lower for MY2026 model years. I would not read much into this, the real world consumption is exactly the same. It is probably a slightly chanced or optimized test procedure that explains the differences. The drive train and battery is unchanged.
I live in Switzerland which sees quite a bit of snow during the cold seasons.
I have never missed the heated windshield. You can start the heating with the App which is already good enough. I had a few occasions where the car was fully covered in snow. I freed up the bulk manually and any ice...
My problem is not really with „no OTA“. My dealer is offering free pickup/drop for warranty stuff so it is actually more of a Porsche problem if they want to waste labour like that (and I am paying for it indirectly through the purchase price obviously).
However my biggest gripe is that we...
I disagree. I aas driving on Swiss/German highway sub-zero and battery barely reached 5 degrees. Only after I was approaching a charger (30min before or so) it started heating to 25 degrees. Pre heating is essential in colder climates.
First proper use in the last few days.
Love it. Noise is almost nonexistent until 80 kmh. Starts at 100 kmh to get louder but still fine at 120 kmh.
Consumption is roughly 10-15% higher.
Afaik there is already an issue with the trunk not properly closing occasionally on MY26 models. Apparently related to the digital key, deactivating that helps.
It is incredibly unlikely, actually almost impossible that the Cayenne is using Android Automotive 25Q4. Especially legacy manufactures are not moving _that_ fast. It's not even possible in respect of timelines of homologation and market introductions.
I'd be surprised if any Macan or Cayenne...
Well understandable if one does not have proper OTA capabilities. Getting all cars into the workshop is incredibly expensive. Which is why I believe we will never see any more Macan updates. As CHP wrote, the platform is dead and Porsche has no clue how to write/deploy Software. I doubt the...
Well I contacted the heads of PR for the electric Taycan & Macan globally (the one that appeared in the car maniac video) and got forwarded to customer care. I was not talking about local sales from my PZ.
But happy to contact their development lead as well, I just dont think it helps. It does...
