Im torn between ordering a 4s or the new GTS. Much of the options I want on the 4s is standard on the GTS - Air Susp, Bose, PTV, Chrono, Leather 18 way seats. Meaning that the GTS monthly (via lease) is coming in about £80 more per month vs the 4s.
However 508 bhp in the 4s is plenty for me and kiddies in the back, i expect the range on the GTS will be noticeably less and Porsche quote a 476 litre boot versus the 540 litres for the others (albeit the sound system removes some of that) Also the standard GTS 21 design wheels are not to my taste and I love the 21 offroad wheels - which are not available on the GTS. Im not adding an extra for better looking 22s that will push up the price and impact range. Although admittedly I haven’t seen these new GTS wheels in the metal.

Overall my aim in getting a macan ev was to combine sporty driving with practically but im struggling to make a decision on this and need to order asap.

As its just been released there no test drive content online, only a walkaround by Autogefuehl so unsure about the drive or feel versus other models.

Any help & advice would be appreciated
Thanks

if could do it again, i would do GTS. But if you're not going to get any of the GTS exclusive options, then just get the 4S

Yeh some slight differences to the exterior, not all desired and im definitely not paying £4600 for a racetex interior option. There is black racetex cheaper option but pointless IMO.
So is that why you would get the GTS?

4s is 443hp
Did not like power of 4 but satisfied with 4s
GTS obviously better as higher model
GTS did not exist when I ordered but as a huge hater of anything gloss black, alcantara (racetex or whatever it’s called) and stuck on trim, I still would have gone for the 4s
Having said that I perfectly understand those who prefer gts/turbo4/base/etc.
Get what you like.

I’d personally go for the GTS for quite a few reasons. Mainly, for the options I’d choose, the GTS ends up giving the best value for money. And I think that’s really where the question lies — what do you want from the car, and which model gives you the better overall value?

A lot of the extras you’re adding to the 4S are standard on the GTS, so when you factor that in, the £80/month difference starts to make more sense. Plus, you’re getting the full GTS package, which is engineered to feel a level above in terms of dynamics and overall character.

Yes, the 4S has more than enough power and a slightly bigger boot, and the wheels are a preference thing — totally get that. But for me, the GTS still edges it because it comes as the complete setup straight out of the box, without having to option it heavily.

Just my take, but hope it helps!

Happy with the 4, mid range is very impressive. And I have the 21 cross country, with gentian blue. if you are set on the 18 way seats, then its a tough choice.

Yes really appreciate the help/views, the options are pretty much the same as ive specced them both. Im just trying to decide for a daily driver whether £80 a month is worth it for more power & stated better driving dynamics but with the slight downside of less range (for occasional road trips) and boot capacity. However comprising with gts wheels that arent as attractive to my eye.

18 way - i could live without, and being unselfish I think they eat into the rear passenger legs & visibility

4s & GTA creep further into more driver sporty dynamics with its set up & PTV but the full range of are definitely alot of fun!

Totally agree on the 18 way, I loved the look, but downspecced on my turbo for the rear passengers sake

Totally understand where you’re coming from. It really is subjective, but for me the wheels carry a lot of emotional weight in a spec — they can completely change how I feel about the car. If I didn’t genuinely like the wheel design, it would definitely skew which model I went for, regardless of the performance or options included.

So I can understand why it’s become such a key part of the decision for you.

Yeh kids are growing fast so that’s another consideration

Like the turbo, you can only have 14 or 18 on the GTS. with the 4s i could actually just take the 8 way to save on options.

Exactly! Also the 21 GTA wheels almost completely cover the lovely red brake callipers, which isnt ideal

For me as I wanted the RS Spyder wheels, it would have made more sense going for the GTS as the price to upgrade is less than on the Turbo

Yep the spyders are nice but again +£2k which pushes the budget and a little range anxiety- which already exists for the GTS

definitely...not only for the different suspension changes (which i hope are compatible with the other models) but mostly for the interior options. I would have gladly paid more some interior options if they had they had in the color i wanted.
