So, on the long parts of the journey, you stoppedonce or more to charge - what was the strategy, and did you use the Porsche route planner?Ok so had the car for 4 days I got the following
Day 1 avg speed 86km/h distance 632km 26.3 kWh/100km
Day 2 avg speed 46km/h distance 49km 24.1 kWh/100km
Day 3 avg speed 49km/h distance 61km 28 kWh/100km
Day 4 avg speed 104km/h distance 628km 30.2 kWh/100km
Day 1 & 4 mostly autobahn day 2 & 3 town and country road driving
and obviously testing acceleration etc etc and having fun
oh and the sport sounds in sport & sport + are very diiferent to the other Macans, cross between space ship and V8 sound
yes used the porsche planner, set to 25% charge for destination, and had to charge twice for 12 min & 16 mins worked really well.Sorry, another question:

Saw pretty much all of the video. I guess I’ll have to try the GTS and push it hard since my experience with the 4S has not been anywhere near as ‘twitchy’ on the steering and curves as he seems to claim. I have to admit, I have not taken it on the track nor on twisty mountain roads at very high speed but I have taken it above 100 mph and found it rock solid. He raves about the ‘dialing in’ of the car. It’s a real shame that Porsche, on the one hand, claims that the hardware is the same but won’t update the cars to the same specs as the GTS. More and more, Software Defined Cars are going to be differentiated by SOFTWARE differences I guess. I‘d pay a bit more for that update if they offered it. Not to mention the phone key.. Beware all you early buyers of the Cayenne. At this point, I’d wait for the ‘GTS’ version of that car to come out in 2028.Now the Out of Spec Reviews:
Yeh i find his overall style and opinions quite an acquired taste. Good from my perspective to hear lots of positive about the GTS but for balance - given every other review Ive read/watched the common theme is that its only slightly different from the 4s or Turbo - which some state as a disappointment in the GTS.I was left quite deflated by that review, great for the GTS improvements, but makes it seem like the previous models are a basket case with terrible handling. Not one review I read, before the GTS launch, mentioned 'twitchy handling', which makes me wonder if this was a bit overstated? Sure the GTS appears from reviews that it is more settled/refined, which is great, but are the other sooo bad!
Yeh true the others didnt hop in one car after another, im wondering whether the gts had RWS and the 4s didnt, or PTV for that matter. Those elements might have contributed.Indeed, other reviews have mentioned minor improvements, but this review said night and day difference - he did do a back to back test, so he may in fact be correct!
Porsche provided a 4S at the press event, so all the other reviewers there had a chance to drive them back to back as well. It's mentioned by quite a few other reviews as well.Yeh true the others didnt hop in one car after another, im wondering whether the gts had RWS and the 4s didnt, or PTV for that matter. I noticed this part as well. His first review of the 4/4S from the press launch event was like "drives great, like a Porsche". Now the tune is different and he says it's "twitchy" and it's the GTS that "drives like a Porsche".I guess I’ll have to try the GTS and push it hard since my experience with the 4S has not been anywhere near as ‘twitchy’ on the steering and curves as he seems to claim.
Do you have drive assists and if so an you comment on how it differs from the previous innodrive / active lane keeping?well picked mine up last thursday morning, and had a trip for amsterdam to the Black Forest so 1400km done in the car already, all I can say is WOW what a car, its on 22" wheels with bridge stone tyres, very little road noise, but roads in NL & Germany are generally very good, little wind noise, I have standard glass. Ride is firm but doesn't crash and bang. Handling is tight and predictable.
Speed is incredible I really dont think you would notice the slightly lower 0-100 time than the turbo.
