If you believe the specs and the initial experiences then they have really leapfrogged where they were prior to this car. I really like where they ended up with the 'zonal' architecture. I believe that's one key place which will enable them to potentially outdistance Porsche (especially with...
I had a Macan ICE S for almost 7 years (a 911 4S Cab before that). I've had my 4S EV now for over 11 months. I loved the ICE S at the time. I wouldn't switch back now if you paid me. I loved the 911 also but it was so impractical I had to buy another car for everyday driving. The 4S...
Maybe that's why they just switched CEO's .. Hopefully they don't go to the other extreme and try to ditch EV's and go back to just ICE cars. From what I can tell, the EV shift is not their real issue. The real issue seems to lie in the implosion of the China market and the fear of Tariffs...
I'm in the same boat. Asked for it immediately when I got the email... and I'm still waiting. Basically, I've given up and just got the Lectron 'version'. It was on sale after I got the reverse one for my son who has a Kia EV6 with a NACS plug.
Sorry to hear. I did it at a WaWa with level 3 chargers and the charge rate was not great but it did work. I would try somewhere else and make sure you activate the charging stall on the app first.
I had the same problem. I unplugged, restarted the process and activated the stall on the Tesla app first. Once I activated and THEN plugged in, it worked. Not sure if you tried that but if you didn't, try that sequence and that worked for me.
Thanks. That seems to have worked (I did a combination of all).. . Now the login issue seems to have been fixed but the data comes out but in km (metric) instead of miles even though my iphone app is still correctly set to US/UK standards. Bizarre.. Anyone know how to get that fixed? I...
Not sure what's happening or if it's due to upgrading to IOS 26 but the watch version of the Porsche app is now making me re-login every single time I try to open it. Given that I have to use my phone to do that, it makes the watch app basically useless to check or modify anything. Once I...
I didn't get that impression at all from reading multiple stories. I do get the sense that they have definitely gotten cold feet on the declared goals of going all EV in the near future. However, given what the Chinese are doing and how quickly they are moving on all fronts - batteries...
I've used the built in charging planner for 700 mile trips (back and forth) with no issues including estimations. I completely agree though that setting intermediate stops at 20% makes good sense. Also, the trips were on the east coast where I suspect the infrastructure is more mature and...
I get this rarely/sporadically. It lasts for a bit but as soon as I stop and start the car again, it goes away. I suspect it has something to do with initializing the different systems on startup. They may occasionally lose a synch signal. It's never actually affected anything I do while...
This is interesting. My route planner only lists a small subset of the Tesla DC chargers. I look at the Tesla app/map and it lists many other V3 DC chargers that don't pop up on my Route planner. I almost tried one (suggested by the Macan planner) on a long drive but decided I could make...
Mine just updated the list of charging options in the manual and the adapter is now there. You have to actively download that portion of the manual and then click or 'tap' on the different chapter headings and it'll start describing the NACS CCS adapter. It doesn't say if and/or when or how...
Strange.. I have a 4S and get better stats when I take long trips.. usually at least 3 mi/KwH. Mostly around 3.1 and I've gotten (rare but it does happens - up to 4 mi/KwH at lower speeds). My highway speeds are usually around 75 mph so I'm not sure why your RWD is not getting more. I would...
