From a technical point of view it tics all the boxes, from an aesthetically point of view, both outside (especially the front) and inside I find it personally a missed opportunity. No Air suspension and rear wheel steering make it a hard no for me, for the moment 🤪.

Seems like it could be a good alternative for Macan EV in better price range but this interior... it looks like a flashy teenagers bedroom. BMWs used to have class and elegance, now it's cheap aesthetics to appeal the Chinese market.

Based on those Cayenne prices, this is looking more and more like my next car.
I hope they style the iX5 more in a traditional way, if it lands at current X5 prices that will be my next one to replace the iX, the Cayenne is just way to expensive for what it delivers …

They might go more traditional on the outside, but the inside the iX3 is their new design language, especially the HUD bar across the entire dash. They've been touting it since the auto show a few years ago when they introduced the concept.

This is shaping up to be the benchmark EV imo. And I like the way it looks inside and out.

The reviw from the German autogefuehl said is the best regular suspension they had ever tried, it seems they add so many innovation to the suspension, it is a great car, the new benchmark.

If you believe the specs and the initial experiences then they have really leapfrogged where they were prior to this car. I really like where they ended up with the 'zonal' architecture. I believe that's one key place which will enable them to potentially outdistance Porsche (especially with frequent OTA updates) and also better ADAS. However, if you watch Kyle Connor's video when he drives the thing, it's pretty evident that they still have work to do to match the dynamics necessary to compete with Porsche as a 'driver's' car. Not to mention the experience he had in charging the car with the supposed 400 kw max charge rate. I'm sure they'll have other editions on this platform where they will tune more for the driving enthusiast. That's where I'd see it compete with the likes of Porsche. However, I'd also look at how much those cost when delivered properly spec'ed. If they manage to keep them around 100k or less, that's where Porsche would need to wake up and take notice. Nevertheless, it's definitely a car line to be paid attention to. I love what they did with the Cayenne but the price is definitely going to make people think twice. I'm also very disappointed with the screwed up update process they have for my Macan. They clearly have not yet mastered the 'memo' around software defined cars. Porsche needs to accelerate the integration with Rivian on that score.
