Just picked up a brand new Macan last week and this error pops up. The dealership is an hour away. Has anyone had this issue?

Message on the center screen also says "Function not available, sensor obstructed, clean sensor."

No sensors are dirty, so it's not that.

IS this happening when you use InnoDrive with tunnels or other place with low data signal?

Don't believe anyone ever had (ever) this issue (ever) before here (ever)... that is an odd one. 😵
Unless... did you give the ol' search a try? 🙃

This issue happens to me when going through a tunnel or on the lower deck of the Bay Bridge in SF regularly. I think it happens when it's unable to acquire a strong enough GPS signal, or when it can't determine the speed limit. In my experience the alert pops up but all of the features continue to work normally. It always goes away when I get to a point where there's an unobstructed view of the sky.

Thank you, everyone. Interesting point about the GPS signal. I am driving on normal flat roads outside of Chicago so there shouldn't be a line of sight issue. I am heading to service this afternoon to see what they say. It's not a big deal, but still pretty frustrating for a car like this.

I get this rarely/sporadically. It lasts for a bit but as soon as I stop and start the car again, it goes away. I suspect it has something to do with initializing the different systems on startup. They may occasionally lose a synch signal. It's never actually affected anything I do while driving. However, I have never tried using Innodrive with that message active so I don't know if it will work. It's never lasted long enough to make a difference.

I had this happen when I was driving home in my new 4 from Wilmington, NC. I completely removed my profile and started all over again. That was 2000 miles ago and it has worked fine ever since. The only thing odd is I get a small yellow warning showing two cars being too close. That disappears in a minute or two after starting to drive. All the InnoDrive functions work fine.

This message especially the one which says maybe possibly clean your wind shield is a direct indication that the windshield camera is temporary blind. This is mainly due to environmental conditions. In this case all camera based driver assisted systems are limited and not working temporarily. The yellow lights indicate which system is limited. Should heals by itself. Nothing to worry about

I get the "Assistance system error" messages quite reliably whenever we pass through a specific intersection. When we get about 250 metres from this intersection, we get a slew of assistance system warnings (lane keep assist, emergency stop, speed limit detection, etc). All the warnings indicate that the function is not available but driving is permitted.

The intersection (Leslie Street and Highway 401 in Toronto, Canada) is currently undergoing heavy construction. There is also a hospital near by. I don't know if, or how, that may contribute to triggering the issue.

Driving our vehicle outside of this area and then powering off/on always resolves the problem. Once we noticed the pattern, we've mostly stopped worrying about it since we infrequently drive through this area.

I haven't yet taken the vehicle to be serviced for this issue as it clears by the time I get closer to our Porsche Centre. Will get it looked at when I go in for other issues.

2025 Macan 4 EV, built in March 2025, delivered in May 2025.

This is working as designed AFAIK. The yellow collision avoidance indicator is to let you know that that function is unavailable when the car first starts up. It apparently needs to do some sort of calibration at the start of your drive, and disappears once the calibration is complete. I believe all Macan EV's do that.

Thanks. I had hoped this was the case. It has always disappeared within a few minutes of driving. I had gone through the driver assistance not available issue and when I got rid of the 3-4 warnings the collision avoidance was the only one that persisted. I have been using ACC and limited Lane Keep without any problems the past two months.

I'm on day three of not having some of the assistance systems working (anything involving the forward radar like ACC). Car isn't "fixing" itself overnight. Unfortunately heading out on a road trip in two days . Any "tricks" that anyone has identified other than heading to dealer? Macan 4S EV with 2k miles, delivered July.

One of the three times this happened to me it did not clear overnight, but did spontaneously clear after about a half an hour of driving in clear weather, so my only suggestion short of going to the dealer is drive a bit first if you haven't already.
