It shouldn't matter how you access.

Yeah, in the assistance screen, when you click on the CC mode banner on top you seem to get the same menu as the button push containing the ACC off option . It should work the same but I haven't tried it. The assistance screens change when in motion, however, and some options not available.

Yeah, same menu, no difference.

However, unrelated to that setting, the next day it magically came back. The location services are still all messed up (map is way off, no speed limit, etc), but ACC and LC are back. For the moment, anyway. The error message now says "limited" instead of "not available".

I didn't notice the "Assistance systems not available in this region" message this time. I wonder if it just depends on what randomly faulty location is car is producing when it's not working? I don't know what "region" it requires but some seem to not allow ACC to work either.

2 days later, now it's all suddenly working again. Map is correct, speed limit back, no error messages. Weird.

I had a service appointment scheduled next Monday, but I think I'll cancel it now. Our nearest dealership is far enough away to make it a chore if not really necessary.

Same thing happened to me on the 12th March. Yellow symbol warning then no speed recognition, no Sat Nav (It showed me in the middle of North Sea), no Google Sat Nav or location services or Apps that used this didn't work either, though Waze did work. It then cleared itself 8 days later, 20th March and eveything went back to normal.
In the meantime I booked an investigation at my local Stockport dealer that I decided to keep as hoping they could look back at the history to identify any underlining issues. Just left and they informed me that they have raised a ticket with Porsche who have advised a repair, unsure if this is hardware or software related, I will found out from the dealer in a few days.

On a short trip, my avionics started to degrade as many mentioned here. First the speed sign recognition capability stopped working. A short while later, adaptive cruise control failed off ( and I could find no way to get regular cruise control, not sure there is such a thing). Finally, a short time later, the GPS drifted to a fixed offset from my actual position. And the hotspot appeared to be down (could not get a radio app to work).

Made sure all exterior sensors were clean and tried rebooting PCM several times. Locked the doors and walked away for 30 min. Tried clicking the seat belt in its holder several times (saw somewhere that the seatbelt might have to be latched for smart systems to work). Cleared the cache and memory in the navigation system settings. Checked for an waiting OTA update, no joy. Finally called the dealer to make a service appointment.

Then two days later, took the car grocery shopping. Systems were down on the way there. Upon returning to the car 15 minutes later to drive home and EVERYTHING was working again! No clue how it healed itself. Will watch for further indications and report back if it happens again.

I have the same issues right now. No speed limit assist, no 3D HUD and my GPS position was tracking poorly while driving (never completely off though).

They started on a longer, fast ride on the Autobahn. Ongoing since a week.

Will clean the car today and schedule an appointment at the dealer if that doesn’t help.

Cleaning did not help, now my GPS location is completely wrong.
Actually my symptoms arrived exactly how @mykl described it, spot on.

Anyone here that had to get something replaced or where the issue reoccurred? I will call the dealer but I am afraid it will just be a waste of time and solved by time anyway.
Very annoying, already had to bring it to service for something else, this is a joke.

Hi. Sorry for your frustration! Perhaps it’s a software glitch which a Dealer Update or Reboot could clear up. Best wishes.

Like most others, it's just magically cleared itself up within a week for me.

My best guess is that it's something to do with the GPS. Even when it was messed up, GPS *movement* was accurate. But it lost it's map calibration. It was showing me moving in the right direction and speed, but in the wrong location on the map. That meant the car wasn't where it thought it was, so the speed sign recognition wouldn't work. And that seemed to cause ACC in general to stop working.

But there were also times when ACC would work when speed sign recognition didn't, so maybe not. It was all weird and hard to diagnose. I never did end up taking it in for service because it's worked fine since.

It is 100% same for me. GPS moves but with an offset. The issues started precisely a week ago and got worse the more I drive it.

Until yesterday it was just speed assist not working and then the GPS stuff started. Since today GPS is completely unusable.

I already have the lastest software and tried rebooting many times.

I tried multiple steps trying to fix it, including a full factory reset (always a pain to reset everything back). No effect.

When it started to come back on it's own a few days later, it did so in a few stages. One day the map location was correct, ACC started working, then next day the speed sign recognition came back and everything worked.

Just hard to nail it all down to one specific cause.

We were out of town when it happened, but not sure that had anything to do with it. We live in CO and frequently drive to Las Vegas. Normally works fine. That trip it just went haywire.

With this architecture, I don't think a reset really resets everything the way we would expect, and it requires a special command to truly reset everything for a clean start. It smells like a memory leak that starts corrupting some stored parameter space until it finally hits a program counter and causes a processor panic, thereby causing the real reset. The sad thing is that Porsche could very readily put each hardware module's firmware into Claude Code and have it validated/fixed within a day.
