Yep its definitely worth considering, annoying and controversial as it is I still think the Offroad 21s look better than the Spyders…i know thats against the Porsche way! 😂
I went for Spyder’s though I did consider the Sport wheels, also for ease of cleaning.

Im torn between ordering a 4s or the new GTS. Much of the options I want on the 4s is standard on the GTS - Air Susp, Bose, PTV, Chrono, Leather 18 way seats. Meaning that the GTS monthly (via lease) is coming in about £80 more per month vs the 4s.
However 508 bhp in the 4s is plenty for me and kiddies in the back, i expect the range on the GTS will be noticeably less and Porsche quote a 476 litre boot versus the 540 litres for the others (albeit the sound system removes some of that) Also the standard GTS 21 design wheels are not to my taste and I love the 21 offroad wheels - which are not available on the GTS. Im not adding an extra for better looking 22s that will push up the price and impact range. Although admittedly I haven’t seen these new GTS wheels in the metal.

Overall my aim in getting a macan ev was to combine sporty driving with practically but im struggling to make a decision on this and need to order asap.

As its just been released there no test drive content online, only a walkaround by Autogefuehl so unsure about the drive or feel versus other models.

Any help & advice would be appreciated

Counterpoint: It's either a Turbo, or you save all the money and get the 4s. (Or, for that matter, the Audi Q6, if you're OK with sedate performance.)

No even though they share parts etc I wouldnt say the Q6 is the same as a 4s. I find the Q6 is more of a comfort car and not a sports suv. It certainly doesn’t drive like a Porsche.

To me personally the turbo isnt worth the money at all. Alot of established car journalists say the same thing, neither a Turbo (or a Q6) are an option for me. I cant save money on something I had no intention in getting.

Also my post was trying to decide between 2 specific models but thanks for the input.

I think this thread is a great example how taste and opinions differ. I personally find the 4S the perfect balance between sport and comfort and for me it sits at the sweet spot of the line up. I tried the 4 and found it too slow and the Turbo is a tad too expensive. What would put me off the GTS is the 1cm lower suspension. If I want a lower car I would go for a Taycan. Ride height on 4S/Turbo is perfect as is.
But also comes down to what cars are you used to. The 4S is already the fastest car in my Garage and I know the Turbo would have just spoiled me forever.

Yes I configured every model exactly as I would want it, the 4s & GTS is only a small amount difference- hence my post. The 4 is by far the worst option for in terms of price against the others and from my research the range is either the same or marginally better. If i was going for range as a priority- i would get the RWD.

No doubt the 4 as more than enough power for a daily for most but I am looking for more sportiness for when Im not taking the family out shopping. Ie fun on great country roads here - thats where the extra power, PTV and sportier tuning comes in. The 4s & GTA will have enough overall comfort on Air suspension.

The only thing i would be forced to buy with the GTA over the 4s is the slightly diffferent styling & 18 way seats. Also those 21 aero design wheels that wouldnt of chosen and can’t have the offroad 21s that are available on the 4s.

So the GTS provides’more Porsche’ performance and arguably better seats but at the expense of lesser wheels.
The only other niggle with the GTS is being forced to get sports Chrono. I have no use for that and I actually like the clock/compass/altimeter you can pick for the other trims. Also, if you are not picking messaging seats is there a reason you would pick 14 way or 18 way seats? I personally love the 18 way for the bolster adjustments.

Yep spot on again, although 1cm isnt a massive difference, it’s adjustable and the GTS still sits well above the Taycan even on its lowest setting.

Yeh im going from a 3 car house to 2. Im trying to get one ev car that replaces a Mach-e & my bmw m240i. After months of test drives & research - will be a Macan 4s or GTS.

Not bothered in the slightest about massage seats, had them on the Polestar 3 and to me its a bit of a gimmick but all to their own and so many other options matter more to me. I guess on paper 14 or 18 ways are more comfortable as you can adjust them in 6 and 10 different ways 😂 but yeh more bolstering for those sharp turns, the 18 way also look nicer IMO but again not at the top of my option priority.

Both great cars, just buy what you think you'd like to drive. Only you know that. If you can't decide, save the money on the least expensive, how little that may be.

Audi Q6 is not a Macan - it's a choice - but it's not a Macan and there are differences in feel, power, handling and amenities - if you're considering a Q6 then you can also include Ionqi, Model Y, EQS or other EV…

GTS all day long in my opinion, but the 4S is a reasonable choice.

Yeh im likely going for boring black but adding blue seatbelts to give it something interesting. I also considered red but that would of been a wild “superman” choice against blue in most people’s opinions
Isn’t blue a bit Reform/Tory - likely to be unreliable and cost a lot 😵💫

GTS all day long in my opinion, but the 4S is a reasonable choice.
The Macan is based on the Q6 - of course it has differences but the underpinnings are Audi which isn’t a bad thing but don’t kid yourself it’s significantly different! If you are considering a Macan you can also consider the vehicles you mention!! I wouldn’t but there is no difference coming from Q6 or Macan other than the badge and that some Porsche owners are so up themselves and think they are ‘special’ .

In term of performance, I doubt that without a chronometer, you can tell the difference. So the difference is more related to the options : racetex ...
