Too bad there is no campaign for these minor updates (SQ4 / SQ5).
There was for V28.13 but it was for the first revision of this software.
Once you have this the campaign is done.
You have to complain to your dealer to have these fixes applied.
I don't see the problem, you still have to pick up the phone, book an appointment, waste your time driving the car to the dealer, get a taxi back, pray the entire day they don't brick it, make it worse etc., etc.
The only additional step is the complaining part which is not hard to do since every macan ev suffers from tons of issues from sound not working, plenty of warning messages in all available colours white/yellow/red, plenty of failures regarding profiles, carplay, blank screens, battery drain, failure to unlock, etc. etc. just pick any from the list and you're good to go, it's not that they can track the errors anyway (this has been verified).

For what it’s worth I haven’t had any issues since buying my model 25 Macan 4. I’m very happy with the car especially on long road trips

Well I had ALL of the issues listed above so what you say is worth nothing to me:p j/k
I am on VR28.13 but since the issues got progressively worse I did not bother with SQ4 (or SQ5). Will wait until the 2yr service and whatever SQ no. will be available at the time. Not wasting more of my time.

I received the WSJ0 update on 5/19/26. Is there anyway to tell which SQ% version was installed?

I’m very sorry for the issues you’ve experienced. I just wanted to comment that not ALL Macan EV’s have had issues. I hope you get all yours resolved so you can enjoy the car

At first my dealer told me there is no active campaign for this car and update has been applied.
After I complained about issues and told them there is a new update they agreed to "check" and so far haven't come back.
I don't know why this is even a thing.... I literally sat next to the service tech when they checked. they plug the tool in, and it tells them there are updates, and lists off what modules the updates are for! The dealer may not get advanced notice in an email, but 100% they get notice as the site I linked to from the NHTSB (while American) shows a version of the notice documents they eventually get.

The process of a complaint, then they check for updates is 'indicated' in some of the documents posted there with language like "if the customer complains about."

Your dealer is lazy. They are not doing something, like updating their tools regular to see these updates or just maybe just the classic lazy. They get paid to do these updates, not sure why they would not want to do them. Unless they always have issues and this ties up a tech and a service bay preventing other billable work. either way, they should still be doing the work for you and not telling you it's not available.

My dealer so far has been very transparent and honesty. There are times where they said this update is available, but it's not been smooth, indicated the issues and timeline, and said I could proceed and they would be pleased to do the work - or wait, and they would tell me if things improved. So far, they have been very good.

In discussions, they indicated they only had a couple of Macan with these repeated issues, and a significant number of Macan owners did not return to for service work. There were a couple of us with constant issues, but it certainly didn't seem widespread. Even when I'm at the dealership service department, there has never been another Macan EV in for service at the same time as me. While the sales numbers are not massive as a sample size, I still feel like most of these gremlins are correctable (and my experience from a very problematic car to today has been a major improvement at SQ4 level).

Basically, your dealer needs to step up - it seems these issues are fixable, they just stop being a roadblock to the solutions for you. Maybe also consider your approach with them on these issues, if what you're doing now isn't working, trying a different way to get their support. as an example, if they think you will be a noisy customer, they will put you try and push you down the upgrade line so they can get some experiences with other clients first - if you are a good customer willing to be reasonable with what the outcomes are, I feel like they will much more flexible with you also.

Either way, I hope you find the same success with the repairs for you Macan as I have had had thus far, as it seems like there really could be a fix for all this crap - the path might not be smooth, but it seems like there is one there. I know you have had your share of drama with this, I post here for the support, meaning its likely someone else has had the experience and I can leverage that to get to the outcome I need, and when I know something new/different, I share that so we attract more helpful and useful users and experiences (build the community). Even with the resistant dealer to your service requests, there is still something to learn for the rest of us, and hopefully you find something useful in these dialogs to get you to a stable Macan also.

I have not been able to find a way to self determine. If there is a way, I would love to know also.

What I have been doing is looking at the NTHSB link I sent, and see the posting date for the software, and using that as a guide when compared to my updates.

With that said, I also had a great conversation with the dealer about software version control etc, and indicated that I want to know the versions installed, and I want a change log. They said they often don't get anything that looks like a change log, but have been noted affected modules for me. I then wait to see what's posted at the NTSB and try and decode their generic language.

Now that the dealer understands my background in technology, and my discipline around versions, they are using the same language. My last text I got from them was not me asking for SQ5, they sent me a text saying there is an SQ5 update available, details of what's fixed is generic, did I want to try the update as I was in the service bay for the AMP replacement (windshield also and I think they are recalibrating sensors for that too but I didn't confirm).

All that to share how I have been tracking it, but your question, if we find an answer, would be a much better way! I hope someone knows a trick. I will be asking the dealer if they can share with me a way to check for myself.

With that said, I saw someone post this on reddit, that showed an OTA update for a MY26 that I thought was interesting, maybe they will one day allow all of us to get some (non-map) OTA's. Id post the link to it, but not sure what the forum rules here are about posting links to other discussion groups....
