Hey everyone!

I’ve been hearing mixed messages from members speaking with various Porsche dealerships across Europe about the upcoming “big” software update for MY24–25. Some have mentioned weeks 44–46 (Porsche said week 36 before and that didn't mean anything), while others haven’t heard anything at all. Has anyone recently checked with their dealer about this?

It sounds like a major update, said to address nearly all existing issues and bring notable improvements to InnoDrive. Whether that’s just marketing talk or not — I’ll leave that for you to decide.

Looking forward to hearing your experiences!

I'm about to take delivery of my 4S next week,I haven't been informed of such an update which obviously must be a "hold delivery" issue given its importance. But in any case I'll ask my dealership if there's something imminent.

In the UK - my 4S is in next week for 3 campaigns. The rear motor, the passenger safety belt improved clip to stop it banging and the rear boot cover. They checked at time of booking and again last week and they said my early 2025 car / VIN has no impending software updates. I trust them and I think nobody else on here have been told about the safety belt clip Campaign.

Does anyone have a picture of this improved seat belt clip? In my mind it should have a strap at the rear so when hitting the B pillar it is not as loud as plastic hitting plastic.
My clip is pushed all the way up to keep the banging noise to a minimum.
I have since become obsessed and check every car I enter into to see distance between belt & B pillar. Macan is obviously the worst offender (smallest distance) can’t believe the person who designed it still has a job😁

That’s interesting, I asked yesterday, no information about rear motor campaign for 4s. What is the problem with rear boot cover?

I had the rear motor wiring harness performed on my Turbo (I think it is just a Turbo campaign?), they also mentioned the rear boot cover which is on the way. NZ based here.

It is quite daunting that only a few dealers decide to share this information for their customers.

Regarding the software update, we're back to conflicting answers from different people. Porsche in a nutshell. Maybe it will be like the Taycan updates, within a year or so.

I've just left my PC. A 'very large' software update for the Macan 24/25 is due to be released within the next 2–4 weeks. This should eliminate all previous bugs and significantly improve Innodrive's capabilities. Apparently, there has been a "major rethink regarding Macan updates" in Stuttgart. More to follow shortly...

Time management. It took my dealer 5 weeks !!! to get a vague answer from Porsche technical support which didn't even apply to me and fault is still under investigation.

We all accept there are certain software glitches and problems with a new platform release but so should Porsche. Porsche technical support is simply not up to the job. I have seen this in my business as well. Everyone from IT gets engaged to deliver new software platform on time (never happens though) and as soon as new platform is installed, entire team moves on. Maintenance and troubleshooting is not part of their job. Management considered allocating staff for support or trouble shooting waste of money.

I’ll post a photo after they have fitted it.
Just noticed, loaner doesn't rattle/bang. Either I trained my daughter well during school runs (unlikely) or they already did some changes. I think the clip holding it in place is stronger now, at least it stays in position after unbuckling.

My 4 is going to the garage on November 4 for, among other things, rattling handles (to be replaced) and also recalls WSG4 and WSN9 (passenger seat belt clip and tailgate trim) that need to be done. They are also going to replace the rear light because of the peeling paint on the bottom.

I will also ask them to double-check whether the software update is available at that time. I am particularly looking forward to the Innodrive update and the resolution of the error messages when charging on the passenger side.

I fully agree, disheartening to say the least.

Just talked to my SA,he told me they don't have any information regarding the aformentioned update. However he confirmed there may be other dealerships already having such inside information while others won't.Also, when I asked him how much likely is such an update to be imminent without them having any relevant information 2-3 weeks ahead he confirmed it's higly likely to be the case as the same also happened several times in the past.
So,a negative answer from a dealership in regards to the (hopefuly) incoming update certainely doesn't mean there isn't an update at all, they simply don't know it yet.And it seems most dealerships remain in the dark until even some days away from the official update release date.
