My Porsche app: New ‘Online Software Update’ / OTA Function?

Maybe because you also have other Porsche’s listed in your My Porsche app. I suspect it was already a function available for the Taycan, whether useful or not? I think it’s something new for the Macan EV owners (first Porsche for me). But, I suspect it won’t make much of a difference!

I just force terminated the Porsche App on my phone the the OTA function is active now for me too. It was definitely inactive when I checked a few hours ago.

I was looking at the Functions menu about a week ago and the Software Update section was not there then.

Yep just ignore W1nge, he likes to make up all sorts of things, doesn’t own a Macan and there are countless threads on here he has taken on a wild good chase.

I know...I have several too and been through the many iterations of Porsche Connect, My Porsche etc.

Read the Owner's Manual as I indicated earlier - OTA is nothing new for the Macan EV but rather the appearance of an existing feature set might be (which was previously buried within the PCM only).

Let's move on.

I've been courteous and patient to this point as you clearl have no clue or prepared to accept detailed advice / knowledge.

Do not mix an update to the app for a feature which already existed and configurable since launch. You clearly don't know the product you purchased.

sorry, but you are the one without any knowledge. you do not have an macan. you have just unfounded opinions. i know this is the trend now that everyone’s talking about anything. but i despise it.

We might get the AI update via OTA. Something was mentioned in press release that this would require an app download for integration.

In New Zealand mine is available and enabled by default. My car was updated to 28.13 yesterday is it related to that?

I don’t think so as my car has not been updated yet. I assume if it was linked to functionality it would be greyed out
