Perhaps not the app but PCM.

Mine was grey the first time I went into the app, close and reopen and maybe it will enable for you?

This is great, I thought I had to go to the dealer to update and was jealous my husbands BMW IX does not.
so, how do we see the software version we are running?

Are we not getting a little over excited? My view is nothing will change and everything is still going to be done via the dealer, at least for 24/25 models.

Yeah, I wouldn’t get too excited. That feature was already active in the car’s PCM. As a result I’ve gotten very infrequent updates to a couple of apps, Amazon Music and another one, just can’t remember which. It also has made available a couple of new apps, Home Management, DAZN, and some European music stations. It may be that the option is just showing now in the My Porsche app. I had already set it to update my apps automatically in the car’s PCM and I think as a result it was already active in the My Porsche app when it appeared. But, I could certainly be wrong. I hope I am! Lol

Although, who knows, since CARIAD is now only focused on fixing the existent software issues, maybe we are really getting a new function!

@alxman what you are talking about are Android App Updates. This is not what the myPorsche App refers to.
While sure, the myPorsche App doesn't really mean anything it is at least a positive sign.

Yeah, you’re quite right. The Android apps update setting is not what this setting is referring to. The fact it has a prominent UI and description within the mobile app is encouraging.

Time will tell what gets delivered via this mechanism though.

Yes. I have not gotten that update yet.

I just restarted my iphone and it shows active now. Wondering what “one time activation “ actually means. Also wonder how we will be alerted about an update
