MY’2026 Configurator Changes - New Macan Options Added

I may be wrong here, but is this wheel option new?

Nope,it was available already.Here shown in German configurator described as 22' Macan Style.

Another new option though is 3 different options of "Bespoke Door-Sill Guards" all illuminated. However priced at $1.920 for the Aluminum version and at a staggering price of $2.430 for the Carbon fiber it's questionable if anyone will really considers it as an option!

I have a 2024 model and do not remember any selectable option for "comfort access" or convenience access. I do not see it on the current build page either. I am pretty sure I selected every single option possible. Unfortunately, my build sheet does have 4E6 on it.

Pre-configuration of convenience access (4E6)

Where can this be selected? what does this prereq even offer? I would think my car has the convenience access since I can unlock and lock my car by touching the door handles and by using the app.

for MY 2024 and 2025 trim levels comfort access is 'standard' equipment…so it was never an "option" since it was included…

for MY'2026 this has now been moved to "standard equipment" - this why it's not listed in "options"

In Germany it was definitely an option before. In Switzerland it was always included automatically in the standard “Swiss Package”

In the UK, where the configurator doesn’t yet have the 2026 spec on the US site, Comfort Access is still an option, even on a 4s

Still no change to the UK configurator. I see they still haven't made Remote Park available as the Taycan, even in the updated US Configurator

justan - that’s the Active Park Support the same as here. The Taycan has an option for remote parking - that’s where you can be outside the car and drive it forward or reverse. Very useful for a garage or more so when some clown parks so close to your drivers door you can’t get in.

I see your spec does have a couple of functions the UK cars don’t have - trained and reverse assist

This is an extreme example of Remote Park - you wouldn’t really use it like this but it does show the capability of the option - I’ve previously had it on a Merc & Lexus.

I doubt the Remote Park Assist will become available to Macan any time soon, unfortunately! If they intended to offer it at least for MY'26, it should be already included in the new configurators around the globe.However the only configurator including it is this one above but if you examine the URL closely it doesn't belong to any country specifically but rather it shows "WW" which means "WorldWide".The US one shows "US",the Canada "CA",the Japan "JP",the Greek "GR" and so on.Now I don't know why such a configurator even exists or what's its purpose but it also lacks any prices so most likely it isn't something absolutely valid concerning things like this.
Maybe it indeed becomes available sometime during 2026 but definitely not simultaneously with MY2026 car introduction.
I wish it was different but I'm afraid it isn't in this case, unfortunately!

Very strange. My Lexus had the hardware but they removed the App from the App Store (I got mine before). Lexus UK said they would no longer make it available on EV’s due to the risk of battery damage by a minor collision whilst using it. Sounded rubbish and Porsche can’t say the same for the Macan as it is available on the Taycan.
They don’t offer it on the ICE Macan either so either it must be the car design doesn’t allow it or far more likely, it’s just offered on more expensive models.

so, in other words, not much new in the updated online configurator that's worth talking about, with regard to the Macan EV...
I'd like to see the following options that you can get in other Porsches but not here:
(1) infrared "night-vision assist" camera; (2) dual front sun visors for both front seats; (3) all-metal roof; (4) steel suspension instead of air suspension; (5) option for 19-inch wheels for better range; (6) spare wheel (the frunk would be a great place for this). Kudos to Porsche for keeping the charge-port door manual (standard), rather than forcing electronic doors like they have done on the second-gen Taycan.
