Macan EV Turbo recall: rear axle harness

I left my car at service today for some trim/rattle/bugs to be adjusted, and they told me there's a recall for some kind of rear axle harness, that "just came in."

I didn't get a recall ID for it -- does this ring a bell for anyone else?

Although the Porsche site doesn't list anything for my car ...

Thanks for the heads up. I will call mt SA and see not just if it applies to mine but as importantly for all Turbo owners, trying to learn if there are any assembly timelines that are or are not covered by it.

You don't need to call your SA, go to https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and plug in your VIN. My Turbo is not included in the recall.

On principle, I agree. To OP’s point, his car has a recall that doesn’t show (yet) there.

Similarly, my turbo had the camera recall flagged by Porsche 2 weeks before it showed up on the NHTSA website - and I had the fix done over a month before I got the recall notice in my (snail) mail.

NHTSA’s web site has a long history of being late to be caught up with recent recalls though I believe most of that is OEM’s failure to speedily transmit information to them.

I plugged in my Turbo’s VIN and got this: “ 0 Unrepaired Recalls associated with this VIN”

Nevertheless, as the site NHTSA reinforced what I just posted as did “tmrqs,” I will re-check back each of the next few weeks before concluding our Macan will not be subject to this recall.

my 2024 Turbo does not have this recall (yet?)…

don't know when it was built - but I took delivery in Nov. of 2024

we'll see if it pop's up for my Turbo later…

I was just at Porsche service. They didn’t say anything about a hardware recall for my turbo. Just that there’s a software update due.

I believe it's not a recall but a workshop campaign,
Recalls are usually for safely and a big legal hustle that Porsche need to send you a notice, and list it on their website that NHTSA pulls, but this campaign is internal so the dealer sees it and lets you know it will be performed when the car is there.
I had the same situation with my 25 Taycan this morning, i dropped it for some rattles and the advisor found WRN4 is open for the car.
