So we've had our 25 Macan 4S for a few months. It's at a second home and I've finally had a few weeks to spend with her. Overall love the ride, charging, the bramble interior, etc... Developing a special hatred for PCM and nannies though and looking for suggestions. I did try to call PCNA (pleasant but no help) and we've have two other Porsches (23 Macan S and 20 911 4S) and Piwis so some experience.

1. Pre-condition - I generally have turned off in the phone app and turn on if I remember, I think we need it, and the car is plugged in. Problem is every time I open a door (ie forgot something in back) the AC kicks on for several minutes. How do I stop?

2. Whatever in the AF they call the nanny the beeps at me and pops up the cameras on the PCM as I'm creeping along in traffic. How do I make this die or at least tell it not to be as sensitive?

3. Wireless phone charging - I have a Pixel 9 Fold. Slide it in the compartment it shows charging, we're all happy for 5 mins and then no charge and a warning to take anything metal out of the charging area and wait 5 seconds. Doesn't seem to be moving around at all, don't understand the issue.

4. Nanny Icons (yes, it's a theme) - Just want to bitch on this one. Go into settings, turn off a couple of nannies and I get icons showing they're off on the display. Come on! Porsche is German for OCD and I don't want unneeded icons hanging out there. That's why my laptop screen is mostly blank. I don't need icons telling me they're off because duh - I shut them off and the friggin car is going to turn them back on when I turn back on.

Thank you for reading, I'm going back to the other side of my spectrum now.

There's an option in the settings of the car to disable auto precooling the car when unlocked. I just leave it enabled because it's hot as hell where I live and it doesn't annoy me that much it cools the car for 5 minutes even though I'm just walking away.

TBH most of these issues are resolved by newest updates and as for #1 you can disable it in settings (I assume the A/C kicks in when opening car - there is a setting for that)

3rd item of your list: each firmware update has tried to fix that, and it's consistently unreliable (in my turbo, in the different loaners with iPhone without cover).
First world problem, but annoying. Maybe 2027 macans will actually improve that feature?

I have an iPhone 17 Pro with a TechWoven case (initially) and now with a Spigen Core Armor MagFit case. I can just drop my phone in there and it starts charging right away without ever disconnecting. And my previous phone, iPhone 14 Pro with an Otterbox Commuter case, also charged without problems. On the other hand, my wife’s iPhone with a cheap case, but with “nice patterns/decorations”, has a harder time finding the “right spot” in my car and only wirelessly connects for a few seconds to her Tesla Model X (my phone connects without problems there too). Therefore, I believe some of the trouble people are having has more to do with the type of phone case rather than the phone itself. Granted that I cannot speak for any android device since I have never crossed to the dark side!
