Assistance Systems Error - Speed Limit Display (warning message)

I got my car back from service after about a week. As you suspected, the fix was purely software related. They performed several software updates and a factory reset.

I’ve been out of town but will have a chance to see if any further issues arise now that I’m back home.

Bad news… all the assistance systems errors returned after driving the car for only three days since the fix. Guess it will require some replacement of parts when I bring it back to the dealership. Very frustrating since my new 4S will spend more time at the dealership than in my garage!

It’s hard to ignore with the dash constantly cycling through the 8 warnings. Plus I really like having some of the safety features like the egress warning when backing out of a parking spot. Seems like a reasonable ask on a $100K vehicle. ?

That being said, it’s really fun to drive. The 4S acceleration is awesome and the interior is 10X nicer than my previous Tesla models S & Y.

My 4S was delivered in december in Belgium ??. Same issue. After 3 months at the dealer still not resolved !!! Is there a known solution alteady?

adaptive cruise went out. Happened after charge at quick charge.
does your blind spot monitor work? Mine has never worked.

I had this happen yesterday. The error message and warning symbols were gone the next time I drove it - a few hours later.

I have suffered the same fate, tried clearing the cache per the previous instructions, soft reset and factory reset with no joy. Issue has been persistent for two days now.

Don’t suppose there are any other tips? Will be booking it into OPC when they reopen after the public holiday here in the UK, just wanted to see if there was a way to get rid of the 8 warning notifications every time I jump in…

I had the new software installed a week and a half ago by my dealership. It's a recall campaign "WSD0 - Installing Extension to Software Network VR 28.11"

Since this update I'm no longer getting multiple "Assistance Systems Errors" and "Headlight Control Errors", things are working as they should!

2-day/150miles of ownership: Driver Assistance Error with no acc available, as well as the driver attention features. Speed limit, LKA still works, but obviously no acc/innodrive so no ALK.
checked all exterior sensors and they're all clean.

I had these errors pop up and it turned out that they needed to replace the control module, one of the radar units and the front camera. They said that they didn't feel that the three hardware failures were related and the first two or three times I brought it in they got no codes at all, but after they replaced the front camera the codes started popping up on the other devices.

I’m seeing the speed limit display warning message, and also now data connectivity in the car to the cellular network.

I didn’t drive the car for a couple of days, then went out in it and have these issues:

• No cellular data connection
• Speed limit display warning
• GPS showing the car in the wrong location (off by about 1/4 mile)
• iPhone app not showing up to date info (likely because car has no data connection)

I tried restarting the PCM, switching the guest user then back to mine (quickly, I didn’t turn off the car.)

Not sure what to try. I opened a case with PCNA thinking it might be all related to the data connection being lost and something they can do with Verizon on their end. After reading this, I’m guessing I might have to take it to the dealership.

@ericf how did this resolve (incl. gps wrong location)?

This Assistance Systems Limited warning popped up and has stayed on all day, despite leaving the car multiple times for a few hours in between each drive. It is actually seeing and displaying the correct speed limit. My car has all the recent updates.

I swear I knew I would start having problems as soon as the temperature started dropping. I got the car last December and had every issue while the weather was cold. Then I had a perfect summer, and now that temps are hovering around 1-3C at night, bam, this error happened.

I swear I knew I would start having problems as soon as the temperature started dropping. I got the car last December and had every issue while the weather was cold. Then I had a perfect summer, and now that temps are hovering around 1-3C at night, bam, this error happened.

I had the exact same issue about a 10 months ago during wintertime. The issue isn’t the weather, and the dealer was worthless and tried to brush it off like something normal. After me insisting for two weeks to look at it, they finally did (because of another thing) and found out it had two faulty sensors/cameras in the rear that needed to be ordered from Germany..

Go look it up if it stays.

These errors mean either the cameras are acting up or sensors.

Sensors record error codes. Cameras are a bit harder to spot since they yield software conditions that show up as the warnings above but are *not* recorded, unless cameras fail completely. Slight misalignment on the camera(s) is enough to yield runtime errors like this.

I had my car in the shop all afternoon a few weeks ago after a windshield replacement until one of the techs went "old" school and decided to check the camera alignment. I was experiencing random loss of assistance functions.

Entirely plausable assembly is not perfect and some units come off the production line with slight misalignments that cause problems under the right conditions.

Long story short, tell your dealers to check the cameras! Not just run diagnostics but check them physically.

Mine just popped up over there on the west coast of Canada with temps dipping a bit. Did they whole turn off the car and walk away thing to no avail. Mine specifically is an Assistance Systems Error and relates to the park assist/cameras.

im due for a tire swap so will see if the techs can look at it at the same time

Macan 4, with Innodrive.
Since day 1, i have regular intermittent fault messages on the instrument cluster
It comes and goes very randomly but unfortunately every day !
-> Assistance systems error / Speed limit display. Function not available, service necessary (See photos attached)
The front camera, windscreen are all cleaned, with no obstruction.
The car is booked in two weeks with Porsche West London….

Assistance System Fault happens often.

I click ok to remove it from the dashboard.

during same drive cruise controls and related lane keeping and distance to car ahead function comes back.

I’ve not had this checked as it comes back by Itself.

My Macan 4 EV now is officially 1 yr old (delivery date 18/Oct/24) and has 15.7k miles.
