I've made a few posts in this thread about my charging issues. Turns out they are not related to the software update and stem from something else. Porsche is replacing the Integrated Power Box, which contains the onboard charger, among other things. It took them two weeks to make this diagnosis...no ETA on when the work will be done and I'll get my car back.
Is the integrated power box a part on the car or something else?

I was thinking of getting one of the voltage regulators and trying the level 1 charging trick but that just seems to be a lot of hassle.

Just got my car back after being in the service center for the last 5 days. You guys were right to not get my hopes up. They ran diagnostics on it and said everything is working in spec. Also, they did mention Porsche NA is aware of the issue and they released a bulletin which basically explained the issue is due to the fluctuation of power and not the actual voltage level as we were originally thinking.
I'd just mention that when they say it's power fluctuation not voltage fluctuation, power (wattage) is the product of voltage and amperage (W=VxA). So saying its the power not the voltage is a bit off.

@nick729 any news from Porsche? Did their engineers find a solution for the charging problem?
Apparently there is a fix that is in the finishing stages and will be deployed soon. They're not willing to share much, but as far as i can tell the plan is to downgrade the module responsible for charging and then work on a new version with the issue fixed. At least this is the plan for my car, so not sure how this affects the rest of the world.

But since i am getting limited info passed on to me through the dealer - i don't know for sure.

My dealership has informed me they managed to “update” (reverting back to previous software version) a vehicle, and it works with at home charging. So technically it’s not an update. They’re planning on doing it on my vehicle, but since I am away on vacation, I won’t be able to do this until I get back. If this is all they’re doing, why couldn’t they do this sooner? And are they addressing this problem in future updates?

That is great! Can you tell me who your dealership is? Oakville Porsche is still not providing a solution.

I guess the question is did they just revert a module of the software that was at fault or the wholw WSJ0 update? I would certainly hope it is the former.

Received a call yesterday from my dealer (Buffalo) that Porsche requested they pick up my car for an update. I just had it returned and we were able to charge it at my home with my Grizzl-E 240 volt hardwired charger and with the Porsche portable charger on 120 volts! I asked if they simply uninstalled the WSJ0 update and they said no it was a new update. The invoice indicated "Perform update PRMS Ticket 4031750". It appears that all of our complaints have had an effect.

My car is also due for "update" following the engineer visit. As far as I am aware this is just an update or more likely downgrade of a specific module which is causing the charging issues.

This is great news. Sorry that you had to go through this but thank all of you for your diligence and perseverance. I hope this becomes part of the WSJ0 update. I will still wait until I am sure before updating my 4.

I just confirmed the software update was removed from our Macan EV and is currently charging successfully! Also, confirmed 2 others in Chicago are able to successfully charge with the roll back.

quite the testament to Porsche's software quality…let's see them blame "the grid" now…

Do you mean that your car was restored to the previous version or just the ECM/ECU responsible for the charging problem?
