I’m having a similar issue as you. I do not think that our issue is related to the software update as (1) we both had no issue with home/level 2 charging for a while after receiving the update and (2) no level 2 charging (or level 1) works at all for us. That is different from most of the cases here.
Actually, many of us had the same timeline and story as you. My charging issues started a couple of months after updating to the latest software and had problems with both level 1 and 2 charging start as described in this forum.

I should have expanded. Most people were able to successfully charge at dealership level 2 or other level 2 chargers at commercial locations (which typically have different voltage than residential). Mine could not.

Also, you and others successfully charged after using a voltage regulator. Mine could not. That’s why I believe I (and possibly the person I quoted who could not charge at any L2, including the dealership) may be experiencing a different problem.

Got it. Thanks for the clarification.

I’ve dropped it to as low as possible before getting the low voltage error on the charger. I believe it’s right around 80. I’m using the Vevor auto variable transformer, linked above.

As I mentioned in another post, my home charging worked fine for a month after the update, then suddenly stopped. It’s possible I have another issue. Good luck getting Porsche to diagnose it 🙄
For those of us trying to limp along charging at home; have any of you found a specific voltage range that work ? A few weeks ago I was able to switch too after 97V but that no longer works. Below 85 V my Porsche Mobile charger doesn’t work. I have tried a few to no avail …

The only work-around which works for me is powering something on that is ~3kw or more. The trick is, plug in your charger, and you have to switch on the high power device (in my case it is central vaccum system, or a 3kw air compressor) roughly 4-5seconds after the relay clicks but before the next click (there are total 5 clicks after which the car stops the process) that you hear from the charger. It is not that easy to time it right, but I have now succesfully charged the car multiple times - this is the only workaround that works multiple times.

This Porsche announcement just in…. The 2027 Porsche Macan now will come with an installed central vacuum to improve charging performance.

Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. A bit of “gallows humor.” I have deep sympathy for those of you suffering this issue.

I have been having the same issue in Oakville, Ontario. Tried 2 different Macans, three different chargers. No fix. Just bought a demo 2024 about 4 weeks ago and charged perfectly for the first 2 weeks. Then around February 23 it stopped charging at home. No problem at the dealership (level 2 or fast DC) or a Tesla station. Super frustrating.

It remains an enigma to me. My car continues to charge as expected since having issues in January (that seemed to be out of the blue). Voltages are still all over the place so my previous theory doesn't seem to tie, and there must have been something else that caused things to fail. Have a Vevor voltage regulator still sitting in a box never used now but will save that for a day when the gremlin reappears.

My car is charging today at home for the first time since last November! I also note that this is the first time since last November that the temperature in my garage has been above 60 degrees F. It is also the first time the voltage has dropped below 242.

Let us know if it stops working when it gets cold again later this week. Mine still not working.

Today is just a few degrees cooler and it's not working. However, I'm ready to give up trying to analyze what critical threshold changed with the WSJ0 update. It could be temperature, voltage, initial power level input (I was at 75% charge level when it worked yesterday), harmonic distortion, or a variety of things. Only Porsche knows what they changed, either deliberately or by screwing up. Maybe they were trying to protect a component (AC/DC converter?) from premature failure or the Porsche portable charger from meltdown, but obviously they are not sharing any information that would help with finding a temporary work-around. Extremely frustrating.

Just got my car back after being in the service center for the last 5 days. You guys were right to not get my hopes up. They ran diagnostics on it and said everything is working in spec. Also, they did mention Porsche NA is aware of the issue and they released a bulletin which basically explained the issue is due to the fluctuation of power and not the actual voltage level as we were originally thinking. My updated theory is now that the fluctuation of power is most likely due to the power usage of grid, which is highly influenced by the current temperature. The voltage regulator still works with this in that it keeps the fluctuation steady.

Either way, like many of you, I am no longer experiencing a charging issue at home, but i suspect without Porsche intervention, this will likely be a thing next winter. I will certainly be keeping my voltage regulator just in case. I am still hopeful this will be addressed at some point by an update before the next winter.

Please keep us updated if anyone actually gets a real solution.
