I will get delivery in the end of september, this is somehow interesting for me regarding towing capacity:

To me most of these new things seem to be software changes only. Let’s hope they are applied retrospectively via an update. I like the sound of most of them, the key on your phone and the parking/camera display changes sound good.

My guess is no retro fit of software updates (app - maybe) and in particular if there is a hardware dependency. Doesn't look like these enhancements will feature until year end with German deliveries starting first in Autumn.

Makes me now question when the MY changes (I had thought by now but not yet on UK configurator as MY25 is the current one).

Towing enhancement (additional 500kg capacity to 2,500kg) can be retro fitted to prior model year vehicles.

This is quite interesting saying that it will be available for MY26 although my dealer said there is an MASSIVE update from week 36 - Although without explaining if it is for us or only them. He doesn't know either, and my car is depending on it because otherwise i can't drive it.. lol.

Yeah.. with that being said my dealer said that the initial “launch” (emphasized on that word) is next week, although he’ll “believe it when he actually sees it materialize”. Take what you will from those words, haha..

There is no need to release a software update to dealers for cars that are just entering production, so if week 36 does have an update release, it would be for 2024-2025 models.

It would also align to all the software development work the team has done in the past year since the last major release, and to previously announced week 36 updates for already delivered cars, times for the production changeover.

Hardware-wise, the only confirmed part changes so far are the surround cameras.

Seems to be the "bespoke" options that you can customize what the door sills say, just like the existing option you could order on the front headrests. If there's a new door light option, I can't find it. The door sill option is illuminated, so maybe it's all referring to that.

These are all features that didn't make it to the finish line for the MY24 release and 2 years later they are finally ready to ship... Porsche is taking the Tesla approach and it doesn't seem like a good thing when it's not gonna be enabled to existing owners.

Well, the Tesla approach is to retrofit existing cars, something we don’t know yet Porsche will do.

Noticed that if you select the 3D Surround view option it automatically deselects the Porsche digital key option. So either the 3D Surround view option includes it or something's conflicting. Interesting.
