Macan GTS EV in UK not compatible with Octopus intelligent go. How do I set a charge timer in the car?

Thanks, but I don’t need advice on how much to charge. Not sure why you thought that was daily? I have not charged to 100% since 10th January and typically leave it at around 50%. I am driving 500 miles from Friday over the weekend so wanted a full charge to start.

Macan GTS EV in UK not compatible with Octopus intelligent go. How do I set a charge timer in the car?

just to add that I have just plugged in on 25% and told Octopus I want it charged by tomorrow 11am (the latest you can set). I said 11am so i get the best chance of filling to 100%. You will see I am already getting a short charge, and that has changed since I originally plugged in about 30...

Macan GTS EV in UK not compatible with Octopus intelligent go. How do I set a charge timer in the car?

I had that issue on my 4S when I first tried to connect up in April. I just used the alternative, which is to let Octopus decide when to charge and have the car set to charge whenever it can. I has worked very well and I have never wanted to change the car to be the boss. I can usually get...

    VR28.13 Software Update

I dropped my 4S off this morning for some follow up work from December when I was told the software update had been done. I spoke to the engineer who said that they hadn’t actually done the software because as said above, they were told to stop while my car was in. He said the issue was to do...

Software updates - why is Porsche so far behind.......?

Brilliantly said. I don’t want it to be cutting edge software, I want it to be a premium, high-quality car that actually works, with dealers who care and just return your calls. Not much to ask?

Software updates - why is Porsche so far behind.......?

Up until now I have been prepared to give them benefit of the doubt. Like many, this is my first Porsche, and I have also come from BMW. Unfortunately all my bad experiences are adding up, and when reading the above I am starting to think a Neue Klasse would be preferable which makes me very sad...

    Production to Delivery

I clearly got lucky. Ordered my 4S late December, it was built by late Feb, including a very last minute addition to spec (comfort access, I was out of date by about 5 years in how it works, so pleased I made the change and I hope to get phone key when it comes out). Picked it up late March...

Macan 4 EV - Octopus intelligent sync issue

I have found Octopus intelligent go to work flawlessly since April. On initial setup I couldn’t register the car so I changed to letting the Hypervolt 3 be in charge. A big benefit of that that I wasn’t aware of is that despite Octopus saying you can only have one car registered, the charger...

More comfort, smarter assistance and enhanced entertainment for the Porsche Macan

In response to earlier comments about other manufacturers not delivering big changes OTA, a friend had Blue drive (auto driving) enabled on a 2.5 year Old Ford Mustang over the summer. We have had a Mini electric since Jan and are on at least our third software update, there was another one...

More comfort, smarter assistance and enhanced entertainment for the Porsche Macan

To me most of these new things seem to be software changes only. Let’s hope they are applied retrospectively via an update. I like the sound of most of them, the key on your phone and the parking/camera display changes sound good.

Random daily Macan EV photos - post yours! 🤳

I have only used it on a pretty rough track and it worked well. I guess you have more suspension travel to smooth out the bumps and I was grateful for the extra ground clearance over the centre bit of the track. I didn’t hear any scrapes šŸ˜€. My default setting is sport on road, I find normal a...

Leasing costs directly from Porsche UK

I have just done a fresh quote (7,500 miles pa) and the net is the same as I pay. Gross before all the NI and tax savings is £1,832, which is basically the figure Porsche have quoted you if my maths is correct.

Leasing costs directly from Porsche UK

It does seem extortionate. I have a pretty good comparator - I picked up my 4S at the end of March. List price Ā£87,700. Via company car salary sacrifice I am paying Ā£1,036/mth, Ā£37,300 over 3 years all in. The monthly price actually dropped about Ā£50 after I got mine, haven’t checked for a while.

Uk Salary sacrifice- estimated net monthly costs

Yes, that is the final net cost to me. 7,500 miles, 3 years. I priced my car up again last week, and was surprised to see it was lower, now £960 I think which is annoying!

Uk Salary sacrifice- estimated net monthly costs

Just to add my figure in case it helps. I picked up a 4S just over a month ago with just over £10k of options and pay £1036. Blinding deal, and hoping for a bit more back in my tax return. Spec code - PS6WHRW1

    Innodrive in UK, auto speed?

On my first journey back from the dealership I turned the auto speed limits feature on by accident. Was happily cruising along at 85 when the car slammed on the brakes. It did it several times, then I worked it out. Will never use again unless there is a way to apply a margin to each posted...

Anyone Had an OTA update yet?

No OTA for me in the 4 days I have had the car! We got a Mini electric in late Jan though, and that has already had an update. It did make a few changes, I can’t remember all of them, but for example the go-kart speedometer gained battery temp and a g meter. Not huge, but felt like a Apple...
