So I normally charge to 80% and get an estimate of 533km. It stays that way until I drive. Now, for the first time I charged overnight to 90% (it says it charged to 91% which is a curious issue), but it shows 649km. I thought Wow, my car grew some cells overnight. I went to the car to compare my phone to the car, and when I entered the car, it jumped to 696km. My car acts like a dog anticipating a big walk and starts going crazy before we even leave the house. I then try the AC, and it jumps to 733 km (I am turning it on, not off lol). At this point, I am thinking if this is all I have to do to increase range capacity, I am in heaven. The precondition was preset to be on when I entered the car, and I did not set or change it at any time. Who can explain the crazy "dog going for a walk" behavior? Just for fun I am going to restart charging to 100% to see if it just takes off without me.

See the attached to prove that I am not crazy.

Mine did this too - I charged to 100% and the range was much higher than expected. It will drop to something more reasonable after a miles or three of driving.

One oddity on mine was that planning a sat nav route of about 40 miles had it saying the arrival charge would be higher than my departure charge e.g at 90%, planning a 40 mile journey had the sat nav saying I would arrive at 100% - clearly nuts. Is anyone else seeing anything like this?

Going backwards in time...nice. What year do you arrive in?

Can ask what your last average monthly consumption was?
I never see these ranges even with a 18.kWh/100km monthly average …
The last 4 month’s my consumption is around this 18.5, so I’m really curious how you get those high number …

Mine was 17.3KWh/100km for July - Macan 4. But I do drive like a turtle much of the time.

Not so extreme but I see this every morning: start at 80 (I charge at 80% per default) and arrive to the first big city after a 35 km trip at 82/83% (yes, unfortunately when I return home I "lose" all the extra range ;-) )
With my Tesla M3 it was more extreme but the battery was smaller and so % difference was bigger: with the Macan I have never seen negative numbers while with Tesla I saw "-3kW".

The battery state of charge going up isn't too unusual if your journey if predominantly down hill. I did this today in our Renault electric, leaving at 73% and arriving at 74% after about 25Km.

Mine problem is the predicted charge on arrival in the sat nav - it's showing a significant gain over an approx 55Km journey that I do regularly and know will require about 11% of charge and up to a couple of weeks ago the sat nav always initially predicted using about 13% of charge and now says I'll gain about 10-15%.

I had not the pleasure of driving from a hill downwards for long time yet, But …
With my iX if I loose one percent just before going of the highway driving down the ramp and braking quite heavily for 200m I get that 1% lost back and keep it for about 1 km …
I never ever saw the percentage of the Macan see go up after a 1 procent drop and then a long heavy deceleration …

I have the “pleasure” to go from 750 to 250meters over the sea level in my first 35 km. So it’s simple to have the percentage going up. No traffic (very early in the morning) and battery is conditioned).
Yesterday I went from 1500 meters to 300 and it went up by 2% (but I have the battery at 90% and the air conditioning and ventilated seats on).
As I wrote Tesla have a better energy recuperation (on numbers) but maybe it’s because it only have a 74 kW battery and not a 92)
