Macan EV charging at Tesla Supercharger in USA?

On the trip from Florida to Delaware, we complained that non-NACS fast charger coverage in Norfolk was weak, and (yesterday) Mercedes Benz opened a 400 kW Alpitronic CCS/NACs site in Norfolk that was perfect.

Mercedes Benz is building 2700 stalls in the USA between now and 2027 and the rollout is about 2 stations per week. $0.40 / kWh which will be about 0.001 Euros /kWh in a few weeks now that the USD's value is plummeting.

interesting - I've downloaded the app - saw the same "what's new" screen as shown above, but I can't find that configuration screen anywhere in the actual app - it may need to be "activated" server-side when they are ready…

but it's clear pieces are falling into place - it's also interesting that they state - "NACS … with the Porsche Charging Service" - guess we'll be activating Tesla Superchargers via the Porsche Charging Service…not a big surprise, but more data showing a clear trend.

I had the same issue. I couldn’t find it either and I suspect you are correct. They are previewing something they will do later In the month.

How do you see What’s New on the app? My Tesla app still only accepts the Taycan when selecting a new car and that only supports Magic Dock chargers. Glad to see this progressing because EA and other superchargers are scarce outside Raleigh and Charlotte in NC. Plenty of Tesla SC’s.

I hope active by the weekend before my White Mountain area vacation next week. There are only Tesla fast chargers or a few level 2 outlets that are reliable. I've been following this topic with frustration since January...

Thanks. My “My Porsche” did not show What”s New. Waiting with fingers crossed for this to happen. I had 5 years with a Model S and long road trips with no worries about charging and range. My Macan 4 is a much better drive but I am anxiously waiting not to have to be anxious on long road trips. ?

Hopefully this means things are making progress with Tesla.

I know but the Tesla app allows you to add non-Tesla cars to their charging system. Until a car shows up in the Tesla app it will not charge at a Tesla SC.

In NZ you can charge any car at nearly all Tesla superchargers (they're all CCS2 here), you just use the 'Charge Your EV" feature, there is no need to register a vehicle here.

yeah - North America the Tesla supercharger network is restricted to "authorized vendors" - most (all?) of the EV manufacturers have announced support - but it's coming in dribs/drabs…
