Wondering about the GTS Suspension.

Yes, all 3 cars I tried had 22" wheels with air suspension. The 4 and 4S felt 'the same', teh GTS felt firmer, enough to notice. I asked the sales person whether I could soften the ride (my M5 has a 'comfort' mode), but he said 'normal' was the softest. I tried the 'offroad' setting, but it did not seem to make much difference, and by then my wife had noticed the difference. The GTS looks nicer in my view, I wanted it to be "perfect", but the ride was not right for our daily use, so I've ordered a 4S.

Just to also confirm, I drove the exact same route in the GTS then the 4S back-to-back, weather had not changed, so I think it is fair to say (and some expected it so) that the GTS has a firmer suspension setup.

I guess, if it is going to be for daily use, you won't be going for 22" wheels.

Well, I do like the look of the 22" wheels, and on the 4S with air suspension, the ride is very nice - even on UK roads. So I have in fact included them !

@aks Thanks for this, great insight! Ordered mine with 21" and I wonder how much will it impact the ride quality - the 22" was a bit too much on the GTS.

I ordered the 21s, personally prefer that size on the macan aesthetically and hoping for better ride quality on uk roads, GTS was actually cheaper than the 4s with the equipment i wanted so hopefully I made the right choice over the 4s. Having seen the standard gts wheels now in pictures/videos now, they look better than the configurator.

Yes pricing was very close either way for me too, but I couldn’t get a GTS without 22” wheels to test drive.

I've had my GTS for about 5 days now. My settings are: Sport mode, Normal Chassis, Low Suspension, Sport Plus sound. 21 inch wheels and 18 way seats. Mostly city driving in Chicago where there's lots of bumps, uneven roads, and pot holes.

The ride feels planted, sporty, and comfortable for me. Definitely feel the bumps and pot holes but it is not stiff or harsh. I don't feel body rolls much but can be due to the 18 ways doing the work. I don't have rear axle steering but low speed turning and lane changing feels easy.

I originally intended to get a GTS but at the time, it was not even announced yet. So I ordered and took delivery of a Turbo instead. Dropped my 911 off for service recently and they had a GTS available, so I took it for a test drive. Even compared to my Turbo, the GTS felt firmer. Both cars with 22” and both in normal mode. Unsurprisingly, it seems the GTS has the firmest suspension of the whole Macan EV lineup, though it’s still a nice ride and I wouldn’t call it harsh. My Turbo in normal mode feels almost the same as far as ride quality goes to a Macan 4 electric I’ve had as a loaner. The GTS is noticeably firmer. While I didn’t drive them back-to-back, the Macan GTS Electric still has a nicer ride than even my friend’s Macan GTS ICE.

Having experienced all that, I think the GTS ride is still nice enough that if I did not already buy a Turbo last year, I’d definitely opt for the GTS if I were buying new today. Ride quality should not be an issue for most, and I think many who are used to driving sports cars will actually prefer the firmer ride of the GTS and be happy with it.

GTS + 21" should be fine (I hope).
Problem is 21" Macan Design wheels do not look good in real life.
This colour does not pair well with other trim elements.
So the only choice left is Macan Turbo wheels.

Same goes for Taycan, the biggest wheels (the lineup is 19/20/21) are loud and harsh so adding the GTS makes it beyond what can be a comfortable daily driver.

I have to disagree re comment on Taycan GTS.

I had a GTS ST 21" + Pirelli for two years and was the most sublime daily driver and superior in ride to the 4S I had prior on 20" + Michelin.

yeh i disagree on the 21s point, I like the look of these and feel it fits the car perfectly.

On my first order, which I needed to cancel I specced 22's, on the current order I switched to 21, after having seen them first hand, and experienced the 'ever so slightly' harder ride on a 22 GTS test drive (over a 4/4S on 22's). I think they look great too, far better than photos, and especially the configurator (where I think they look slightly rubbish). I

t was an easy decision to not tick the 22" box this time IMO. (I still think the 22's are better looking, but not by enough to swing the decision). I keep telling myself the 21's will be easier to wash by hand too .

They look better without glossy trim for sure. There is something off with glossy trim at least foe my taste.
